CHAIRMAN CREWI-:: Before taking up the discussion on these papers, we will receive the report of the Committee on the Demonstration Tests of Cattle, that w-as carried on out at the Stock Yards. Dr. Neal, I believe, is prepared with that report. DR. NEAL: Gentlemen, I have only the report so far as the decisions are concerned on the results of the test, as applied, to the intradermal test. I will try to give you this information on the cattle in a way that if you want to take any numbers you may do so. The cattle that were selected for this testing regular buy of cattle. We had no history of any kind whatever concerning them. They were generally worn-out dairy cattle. _ They were 62 in number, and they were numbered for identification from I to 62. They were divided into two lots: from 1 to 31 inclusive were given the subcutaneous test, and from 32 to 62 inclusive were given the intradermal test. Another lot was given the ophthalmic test. I was on the Committee on the intradermal test, and the entire Committee agreed that the following four numbers were reactors: 37, 49, 55 and 60. There were several that had swellings. which were rather confusing, and it was a question with some as to whether they were reactors or not. However, the Committee agreed on these four. The post mortem findings were as follows: Numbers 1 and 2 were extensive generalized cases of tuberculosis. Number 3 showed extensive lesions in the retropharyngeal region, and slight lesions of one lung. Number 27 showed slight..
