On a dark road, Tom Harper receives the impact of a light wave that projects him 30 years back in the past, to his own 19-year-old body in '95, but with his knowledge intact from an entire life lived. Of course he is faced with the temptation to correct the mistakes of his life, of his first "round", as he calls it, but what worries him most is repeating his successes: waiting 8 years until he even meets his wife, conquer her again and have the children on the exact same dates that they had them the first time, and that they were really their children, and not others. Those responsible for the accident will contact Tom to offer him the compensation they deem appropriate for having caused this "mishap", but Tom may not be so satisfied with what they propose. With the challenge of rebuilding his life from scratch, a very clear obsession grows in him: the Vallestrans must be exposed, and paid for what they did, as the threat they really are. In his first foray after "Arioco-Lord of Chaos and Destruction" into the field of science fiction, the author makes the reservation that the reader may not expect laser beams, spaceships, or anything for that matter. style. Just a deviant group of people with very advanced technology with their own agenda and without moral qualms or legal consequences when applying it.

New York, New Year's Eve, December 1991. Roger's girlfriend, Carlie Donnelly, is kidnapped from Marquee Club on Tenth Avenue along with three fellow students from Stella Maris on an early graduation trip. Paddy, Carlie's father, acting on pure paternal instinct, takes the first available flight to the city that never sleeps and brings Roger along with him. However, Dana also joins them, and the pair of young investigators puts their brains and instincts to work on their first kidnapping case. For the first time in their careers, both have a very personal stake in resolving the case as quickly as possible and bringing Carlie back home. But there is no ransom note, and as the news threatens to become media sensational and undermine the authority of the Mayor of New York City and the NYPD, an FBI team sets up a command center at the 10th Precinct not only to locate the four kidnapped Uruguayan tourists but also to uncover something much larger and much more sinister.

President Gardner has been assassinated, dismembered and his parts stone staked to one of the walls of the Oval Office, but unbelievably that grim scenario is not (nor even close to being) the worst threat facing the United States. An attack of biblical dimensions has wiped out more than a third of the population in the large-scale operation known as "The Day of the Raven." Yet America's weapons and response capabilities are 90% operational, and what's left of the government is asking: why? Who have bulldozed us to rubble but left our offensive responsiveness mostly intact? Who have been responsible? How is it possible that any defense or response system has failed? The satellites are taken, the communications controlled by the enemy, and the Vice President turns to the only Private Investigator and ex-CIA, Jack Warden, with an impeccable record of zero failures in his services to the country, to help him understand what or who they are facing, and form a contingency and retaliatory offensive response plan. Jack will lead the efforts of the largest joint force of Intelligence and investigative resources ever formed to mitigate the damage caused and find those responsible. They cannot, however, suspect that perhaps "The Day America Was Subdued," as it would later be known, would be but the first link in a chain that could lead to global annihilation. The end... of the human race and of life as we conceive it. Marcel Pujol, in his Opera Prima, and which constitutes his eleventh published title, guides us along a path of madness and destruction in which there are a few humans who are sensitive to the flows of energies and interconnections between the different planes of the multiverse, which can be channeled with the purpose of bringing to our plane and our planet Earth, grotesque creatures as well as deadly (demons, salamanders, sylphs and Virtues) that will do whatever their summoner orders in order to return to their dimension.

Remorak, a merchant who wants the monarch's deposition tricks the unsuspecting minstrel into accepting the mission of rescuing the princess from the dragon's lair, and a mission that begins as an impossible journey, an unattainable task, ends up being a life lesson for such dissimilar characters.

Cyberpragmatics is an analysis of Internet-mediated communication from the perspective of cognitive pragmatics. It addresses a whole range of interactions that can be found on the Net: the web page, chat rooms, instant messaging, social networking sites, 3D virtual worlds, blogs, videoconference, e-mail, Twitter, etc. Of special interest is the role of intentions and the quality of interpretations when these Internet-mediated interactions take place, which is often affected by the textual properties of the medium. The book also analyses the pragmatic implications of transferring offline discourses (e.g. printed paper, advertisements) to the screen-framed space of the Net. And although the main framework is cognitive pragmatics, the book also draws from other theories and models in order to build up a better picture of what really happens when people communicate on the Net. This book will interest analysts doing research on computer-mediated communication, university students and researchers undergoing post-graduate courses or writing a PhD thesis.
