Why do poems automatically arise in your head or mine? Are they the products of conscious thought or ideas lurking in our subconscious? Or due to our habit of seeking answers? Or a response to the information we received? I have been jotting down poems on various occasions in my life. And so, I decided on the title: “Poems Pave Our Lives.” And my Subtitle explains what you will get from reading this book. I realize that by expressing my thoughts in poetry, I made sense of life. I could appreciate the challenges in life as opportunities and lessons! I believe that since we’re all on the same journey in life, the same applies to us. I feel it’s a blessing to express the emotions that you may share in this book of poems. I hope you enjoy the dialogue poems, the narrative poems, the ones a concerned citizen and a science educator would write as I reflect on the personal, national, and global issues and relate to them. With my background in research writing, I gratefully acknowledge the authors who contributed to my thoughts. And I hope learners of English may find the poems helpful and inspiring!

Inspirational Poems (Encouragement on Your Path of Life) is a book of poems and short stories to give you encouragement on your path of life. The Lord has already paved and predestined our path before we were born. All of us have a path that we have to take, whether one that we have made on our own, or the path that the Lord has chosen and He has paved for us. He does let us choose to what path will take. Although, the Lord wants us to choose and to stay on our right path, because He doesnt want any hurt or harm to come to us. We are His children and He always wants to protect us. Sometimes, we make our own lives more difficult than they have to be, by our own choosing. The Lord only wants the very best for His children, He even tells us so in His word. This is why we should always study His word and go to Him in prayer when we are not sure of the path that He wants us to take. Then, we will know that we are always on our right path of life that the Lord has already paved and predestined for us, even before our birth.

Winner of the 2012 Pulitzer Prize * Poet Laureate of the United States * * A New York Times Notable Book of 2011 and New York Times Book Review Editors' Choice * * A New Yorker, Library Journal and Publishers Weekly Best Book of the Year * New poetry by the award-winning poet Tracy K. Smith, whose "lyric brilliance and political impulses never falter" (Publishers Weekly, starred review) You lie there kicking like a baby, waiting for God himself To lift you past the rungs of your crib. What Would your life say if it could talk? —from "No Fly Zone" With allusions to David Bowie and interplanetary travel, Life on Mars imagines a soundtrack for the universe to accompany the discoveries, failures, and oddities of human existence. In these brilliant new poems, Tracy K. Smith envisions a sci-fi future sucked clean of any real dangers, contemplates the dark matter that keeps people both close and distant, and revisits the kitschy concepts like "love" and "illness" now relegated to the Museum of Obsolescence. These poems reveal the realities of life lived here, on the ground, where a daughter is imprisoned in the basement by her own father, where celebrities and pop stars walk among us, and where the poet herself loses her father, one of the engineers who worked on the Hubble Space Telescope. With this remarkable third collection, Smith establishes herself among the best poets of her generation.

Words have the power to build us up and give us the source of encouragement, motivation and inspiration we need when facing challenges and hard times in life. Words To Heal is a collection of quotes, thoughts, and poetry that I put together to help others heal, to empower them, to inspire them, to motivate them and to offer a positive glimpse of life as we see that there's so much more to life then we know and that anything is possible when we believe.

In Living Life: Poems and Reflections, poet Robin Hosking considers the idea that all life is precious, regardless of its relative situation to us; because of this, it should never be easy to harm another life. She explains that there is a difference between wishing harm on someone and causing harm to them. Life enables each of us to be distinct and individual, to live our lives in a way that honors our past and paves the way for our future. In Living Life, Robin Hosking reminds us that we are all uniquely valuable and that being robbed of that uniqueness is intolerable. This world presents challenges to us every day; because we all live in this world though, we need to be more amicable to our fellow man. Love must begin with us. Mother Earth I love you and provide for you with all that I have, I nourish you with the food from my ground, I hydrate you with my water, From all of my lovely plants and trees, you are able to breathe. I love it when you come out to visit with me, and admire my many scenes. When you swim in my lakes and streams, I really enjoy your company, but you are mistreating me.

Download Bad Tourist Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
Both a memoir in travel essays and an anti-guidebook, Bad Tourist takes us across four continents to fifteen countries, showing us what not to do when traveling. A woman learning to claim her own desires and adventures, Suzanne Roberts encounters lightning and landslides, sharks and piranha-infested waters, a nightclub drugging, burning bodies, and brief affairs as she searches for the love of her life and finally herself. Throughout her travels Roberts tries hard not to be a bad tourist, but owing to her cultural blind spots, things don’t always go as planned. Fearlessly confessional, shamelessly funny, and wholly unapologetic, Roberts offers a refreshingly honest account of the joys and absurdities of confronting new landscapes and cultures, as well as new versions of herself. Raw, bawdy, and self-effacing, Bad Tourist is a journey packed with delights and surprises—both of the greater world and of the mysterious workings of the heart.

Download Arcana Poetry Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
Experience the tarot in a whole new way with these captivating poems. This e-book contains 44 poems (22 for the upright meanings and 22 for the reversal meanings) Each major arcana card comes to life in a unique and thought-provoking way, offering a fresh perspective on the symbols and meanings contained in those cards. Poetry is a powerful and evocative form of expression that can help to convey the complex and often abstract meanings of the tarot cards in a way that is both accessible and engaging. With the help of rhyming couplets and small stanzas, alliteration has been proven since childhood to help us retain useful information. Just like Tarot, poetry can be a powerful tool for self-reflection and introspection too. Combining both has been a wonderful way to explore and understand my own thoughts and feelings in relation to the tarot. And I'm not the first to do it - there are many magnificent artists out there who have been creating tarot poetry since the 15th century! I hope you enjoy those poems and that they may inspire you to write your own, as well as deepen your understanding of the tarot major arcana themes. So grab your favourite deck, look up the artwork from many incredibly talented indie creators and start your multi-layered tarot journey.
