In 2009, the district residents' per capita income was $17,66, while the median family income was $41,465. In the Commonwealth, the median family income was $49,501 and the United States median family income was $49,445, in 2010. According to District officials, in school year 2009-10 the Dubois Area School District provided basic educational services to 4,120 pupils through the employment of 332 teachers, 275 full-time and part-time support personnel, and 28 administrators. Dubois Area School District received more than $24.2 million in state funding in school year 2009-10. The district operates one High School, one Middle School, and eight Elementary Schools. According to the Pennsylvania Department of Education, there are 4058 students enrolled in K-12. Enrollment in the Dubois Area School District is projected to decline by 150 students by 2016.
