Pathways to Personal Freedom using the Silva Method is a compilation of fifty ideas to help uncover the ways of inner bliss that lay dormant within each of us. Happiness and Personal Freedom are concepts that most of us have taken for granted. Society teaches us to please others; look for approval and acceptance from others; check in with those who “know better” than we do; allow our negative thoughts to overtake our actions, our way of life and even health. Each Pathway starts with a quote to encourage thinking and inspiration to bring about a spark of insight that is already known but may have been forgotten along the way. What follows are suggestions and examples from the authors’ lives and experiences as to how to achieve bliss and inner harmony. Each will end with an affirmation to be recited in the present time to instill the ideas as if they are already in place and to help enhance this new way of thinking. Some of these ideas may be new and even foreign—but they have stood the test of time and used by many throughout the world. Jose Silva, Sr. was a pioneer in the study and application of mind control. His youngest daughter, Diana Silva-Mendez and coauthor, Robert Deutchman have put together this labor of love for the benefit of Silva Method enthusiasts, trainers, Silva graduates, and to all who seek to tap into their inner wisdom.

God’s code of conduct is as relevant and insistent today as it’s always been. The landscape of contemporary society reveals that we neither know nor care much about the Law of God. There is: A general lawlessness in the lives of professing Christians. An absence of the fear of God in public worship and private living. A growing confidence in ourselves and doubt concerning God and His Word. Amidst this moral crisis, the message of the Ten Commandments can give us order, direction, and hope. With dynamic implications for how each of us lives every day, Pathway to Freedom will challenge you to think long and hard about the significance of God’s Law. “We have entered into a time of moral crisis in our culture and in the church as well. Stories about divorce, adultery, and the individualized picking and choosing of doctrines abound. Pathway to Freedom is forthright and necessary teaching that today’s church cannot afford to ignore. How now shall we live? The beginning of the answer must be in obedience to God’s moral law summarized in the Ten Commandments.” —CHARLES COLSON, PRISON FELLOWSHIP MINISTRIES, WASHINGTON, D.C.

In Love and Freedom, Jorge Ferrer proposes a paradigm shift in how romantic relationships are conceptualized, a step forward in the evolution of modern relationships. In the same way that the transgender movement surmounted the gender binary, Ferrer defines how a parallel step can—and should—be taken with the relational style binary. This book offers the first systematic discussion of relationship modes beyond monogamy and polyamory, as well as introduces the notion of “relational freedom” as the capability to choose one’s relational style free from biological, psychological, and sociocultural conditionings. To achieve these goals, Ferrer first discusses a number of critical categories—specifically, monopride/polyphobia, and polypride/monophobia—that mediate the contemporary “mono–poly wars,” that is, the predicament of mutual competition among monogamists and polyamorists. The ideological nature of these “mono–poly wars” is demonstrated through a review of available empirical literature on the psychological health and relationship quality of monogamous and polyamorous individuals and couples. Then, after showing how monogamy and polyamory ultimately reinforce each other, Ferrer articulates three relational pathways to living in-between, through, and beyond the mono/poly binary: fluidity, hybridity, and transcendence. Moving beyond that binary opens a fuzzy, liminal, and multivocal relational space that Ferrer calls novogamy. In this groundbreaking book, readers will learn practical tools to not only transform jealousy, but also enhance their relational freedom while being aware of key issues of diversity and social justice. They will also learn novel criteria to evaluate the success of their intimate relationships, and be introduced to a transformed vision of romantic love beyond both monocentrism and emerging polynormativities.

This book is about our universe, our most recent science, our spiritual search, our experience, and how all of these support the once crazy idea that we are here to live lives guided by the uninhibited expression of personal freedom. I define freedom as letting go of those things in our lives that block us from experiencing our birthright, which is living fully within the flow of this infinite creation--a flow that is shaped by a deep type of connectedness that we sometimes call Love. When I published my first book on this topic, The Architecture of Freedom, some readers requested a shorter version. This book is a response to that request. While the ideas in this book are not critical for living, they certainly can help make our lives much more enjoyable. Our primary purpose is to explore, express and share our individual and unique gifts so that all of us, together, can know and fully experience life's amazing possibilities. When we resist this calling our lives appear difficult, dangerous, and limited but, when we embrace our true purpose, everything changes and our lives begin to flow perfectly. Even if we change nothing, collectively, we will still be fulfilling this role perfectly. However, there are an infinite number of ways to experience life and, as this book illuminates, we each have the absolute power to choose our own personal experience. In fact, each of us is the only person that can determine our experience because no one else is even involved. Living our lives with this different awareness, one in which we fully understand that each of us is an important and integrated part of something much greater than our old and obsolete vision of separate competing individuals, will powerfully influence how our lives appear and feel. We literally have the ability to change the appearance of our entire world by learning how to change our deepest hidden beliefs. Human culture has evolved three distinct pathways for collecting, assembling, and saving knowledge. First, we gain knowledge from our direct, everyday personal experience. Next, we have our cultural and spiritual traditions that have been passed down through the generations. Lastly, for over 2,000 years we have built a great body of knowledge through formal scientific study, research and experiment. While all of these three directions can help us to better understand our lives and creation, each direction, in isolation, also has aspects or parts that can seem incomplete or even wrong. Historically, these three important information sources have often appeared very different and separate, at times even in conflict or contradiction with each other. It is only recently that we have started to recognize that there is a substantial convergence or overlap: a common region where experience, spirituality and science actually share the same expansive vision. Since spirituality, experience, and scientific study all represent our attempts to understand truth at a deeper level, the region where they intersect and overlap should provide fertile hunting ground. To this end I discuss personal experience, my own and others'; our spiritual traditions, and our paradigm-changing science of the last one hundred years. I show how all three of these traditions point towards the same ideas-actually a single, unified idea that is disguised as many to work with our mode of thinking. While some of these ideas are technically un-provable because of their very nature, I will show them to be fully supported and reinforced by each and all of these three very different traditions.

We live in an impersonal world that is often disconnected, overloaded with information, and colored by values and realities often in conflict with real love and personal freedom. Those same forces are at work within any individual who has failed in the great work of every life-to discover their true self. Whether you're overcoming a troubled childhood, conditional acceptance by others, or negative interactions with other individuals, Love and Freedom: Pathways to Personal Transformation highlights dynamic pathways and choices that bring the individual into connection with the personal realities of love, friendship, moral character, and virtue. Author Philip Ferranti provides tools to assess your life and shares personal change strategies to encourage living life in the present, free from an overactive mind, false identities, negative emotions, and inaccurate ideas. Only when we approach life in an individualized, personal way, seeing ourselves as real people and others as persons in their own right, do we attain anything close to personal freedom. Love and Freedom affirms Ferranti's dynamic vision of spirituality-that "he who would reject another destroys the very bridge over which he, himself, must pass."
