In this article, we present recent results on particle production from Au+Au collisions at 11 A GeV/c obtained by the E866 experiment. The experiment studies the particle production in high baryon density matter created in central Au + Au collisions. Preliminary results of proton and pion production have been reported in previous Quark Matter conferences. Two particle correlation data for Au + Au collisions in this experiment are presented in another paper in this conference.

In this article we summarize recent results on the study of Au+Au collisions at 10.8A GeV/c obtained at the AGS by the E877 Collaboration. New results on the directed sideward flow are presented. In particular, the dependence of proton and pion production on the direction of the reaction plane will be discussed. It is shown that the sideward flow is mainly due to nucleons and that pions show little flow effects. Two-pion correlation functions are studied to derive the density at freeze-out. Further, we inspect the correlations as a function of the pion direction relative to the reaction plane. A dependence of the deduced source sizes on the pair direction and momentum is observed. The measured source sizes are compared to results obtained in lighter systems. Measured m[sub t] spectra of pions and kaons are also presented. The pion spectra show an enhancement at low m[sub t] similar to that observed in Si+Pb and which was attributed to[triangle] resonance excitation. However, in contrast to Si+Pb now a clear difference between the[pi][sup+] and[pi][sup -] spectra is seen. The K[sup+] spectra, which showed a very steep component over a small p[sub t] range in the previously studied Si+Pb reaction exhibit for Au+Au an unexpected structure at very low p[sub t].

Results are presented for inclusive measurements of .pi., K, proton and deuteron spectra from 14.5 A/center dot/GeV/c Si central collisions with Au targets. Pseudo-rapidity distributions of charged particles from a variety of targets are also shown. Ratios of K to .pi. yields are large and increase with p/sub (up tack)/ for Si + Au collisions. 4 refs., 11 figs.

Particle production was measured by the E866 forward spectrometer. It was reported earlier in our publication that a correlation between particle ratios and the asymmetry of energy deposition in zero degree calorimeter(ZCAL) was found. To further investigate the azimuthal asymmetry analysis, the forward hodoscope (HODO) was incorporated and the correlation between the particle production and the ''reaction plane'' will be discussed. Preliminary analysis shows enhanced in- plain proton production.

Measurements are presented of single particle spectra from Au targets using the recently commissioned Au-beam at 11.6 GeV/c per nucleon from the BNL Tandem-Booster-AGS accelerator facilities. Protons and deuterons were detected with the measuring the 25msr E-802 spectrometer. Collision centrality was determined by measuring the forward energy in a calorimeter subtending a 1.2[degrees] cone about 0[degrees]. Some comparisons with the cascade code ARC have been made.
