Excerpt from Park's Floral Magazine, Vol. 51: June, 1915 Dracaenas. - The red Dracaena, B.rabra, also Dracaena congesta and Dracaena lineata are increased by cuttings made from roots, and from such shoots as are produced from the old stems of plants that have had their heads removed. These are taken off when six inches long, some of the lower leaves stripped off, and potted in a mixture of loam and sand, pure sand being placed over the surface. Keep the temperature at 60 degrees, and roots will soon form, then the cuttings can be potted and treated as you would treat other greenhouse plants.
