This is the thirteenth annual edition of the Energy Information Administration's (EIA) Oil and Gas Field Code Master List. It reflects data collected through October 1994 and provides standardized field name spellings and codes for all identified oil and/or gas fields in the United States. The master field name spellings and codes are to be used by respondents when filing the following Department of Energy (DOE) forms: Form EIA-23, [open-quotes]Annual Survey of Domestic Oil and Gas Reserves, [close-quotes] filed by oil and gas well operators (field codes are required from larger operators only); Forms FERC 8 and EIA-191, [open-quotes]Underground Gas Storage Report, [close-quotes] filed by natural gas producers and distributors who operate underground natural gas storage facilities. Other Federal and State government agencies, as well as industry, use the EIA Oil and Gas Field Code Master List as the standard for field identification. In order for the Master List to be useful, it must be accurate and remain current. To accomplish this, EIA constantly reviews and revises this list.
