Nisgaa Memorial Lava Bed Park Master Plan PDF Download

Nisga'a Memorial Lava Bed Park is the first provincial park within British Columbia established to combine interpretation of natural features and Native culture, and is also the first to be jointly managed by a First Nation and BC Parks. This report presents a plan to guide the management of park resources and visitor activity over the long term, with an emphasis on protection of resources within the park. Sections of the plan cover the following: the role of the park within the provincial park system; park zoning into wilderness recreation, special feature, natural feature, and intensive recreation zones; natural and cultural resource management; visitor services; outdoor recreation opportunities such as angling, boating, camping, and sightseeing; and plan implementation.
