Nellies Tale is an adventure story. It begins with Susi walking over to see how the beautiful paint horse in the back pasture is doing. She cant believe her eyes. She and her foster cousin Cindy have to rescue the extremely neglected mare. Then Cindys amazingly handsome, super-protective older brother gets involved. The three happy-go-lucky teens, who could be seen riding around town in Grandmas new red Ford Mustang convertible, suddenly have to get real serious to try to save poor Nellie. They demonstrate how their faith in Jesus helps them to accomplish amazing things. Their dedication and teamwork are truly rare. The three youth encounter great obstacles in their path. Cindy gets a bad skin condition from contact with the horse. Susi develops severe allergies from just being near Nellie. When things look their worst, the veterinarian becomes Gods tool to save the day. Yet even better by far is Kerrys spiritual experience. It was the most important decision that a believer makes in their life. Then after the girls finally get to truly enjoy the horses on some mountain and beach trail rides, tragedy strikes with the death of one of the horses. Susi is so devastated that she stops going out to the ranch. Yet Cindy and Kerry demonstrate Gods love to her in such a way that Susi returns to work with Nellie. A horse expert helps them discover that Nellie has real talent. Can the teens achieve success with the little paint who has won their hearts by participating in an upcoming horse show? The ending may surprise you.

Confessions of a Prairie Bitch is Alison Arngrim’s comic memoir of growing up as one of television’s most memorable characters—the devious Nellie Oleson on the hit television show Little House on the Prairie. With behind-the-scenes stories from the set, as well as tales from her bohemian upbringing in West Hollywood and her headline-making advocacy work on behalf of HIV awareness and abused children, Confessions of a Prairie Bitch is a must for fans of everything Little House: the classic television series and its many stars like Michael Landon and Melissa Gilbert; Gilbert’s bestselling memoir Prairie Tale... and, of course, the beloved series of books by Laura Ingalls Wilder that started it all.

These tales from the author's life experiences are mostly light-hearted but they all true. They start with Nellie the dinghy who eventually became the long, red, sleek speedboat named The Phantom. Some of the tales also involve the caravan that the author's father bought when Borry was thirteen years old. The family spent almost every weekend from March to October at St. Lawrence Bay in the wilds and farmlands of Essex, by the River Blackwater with recurring battles against screaming winkles, the bog of eternal stench and the evil mud sucking monster. Fun and frolics ensued for over forty-eight years.
