God does keep secrets. Even great heroes of faith like Abraham, Moses, and the Old Testament prophets faced mysteries about God and his kingdom. Understanding God's plans is like watching a train emerge from a tunnel: you can see the cars that have emerged and get a sense of where the train is going, but you can't see the cars still in the tunnel. While many details of God's revelation train are still shrouded, secrets hidden for centuries are now revealed to us. John Van Diest and Alton Gansky help us see and understand these secrets, which are hiding in plain sight in the words of Jesus and throughout the Bible.

Groundbreaking Concepts - All this and more found inside this book.* Difficult symbolic Scripture is unlocked using God-given principles of Only Scripture, Type and Antitype and Two or Three Witnesses.* How the Hebrew Holy Days of the spring portray the major events of the First Coming of Christ. Likewise the Holy Days of the fall will be fulfilled by the major events of the Second coming of Christ.* The Seven Seals are time periods during which names are written into the Book of Life. They reveal the history of God's people from Adam until the Coming of the eternal Kingdom of the Father.* The Seven Trumpets portray the seven actions that Jehovah takes in order to rid this world of sin and the adversaries in preparation for the Kingdom of the Father.* The Seven Days of Creation symbolically illustrate the ongoing creative work of God that will be perfected, spiritually and physically, by the end of the sixth creative day. The seventh day is the eternal Sabbath of the Father's Kingdom.* The identity and actions of the Seven Prophetic Beasts are exposed. The Image of the Beast (Rev. 13) is synonymous with the Scarlet Seventh Beast (Rev. 17).* Daniel's seventy weeks is deciphered directly from the Scripture. The last one-half of the seventieth week is "the time of Jacob's trouble" (Jer. 30:7). This is Israel's ultimate trial before the nation is reestablished in the Kingdom of the Son.* Why we know that judgment of the dead and then the living is presently ongoing in preparation for the Second Coming, and that those judged fall into four categories. * How the Kingdom of God arrives in three stages of exponentially increasing magnitude: the Kingdoms of the Holy Spirit, the Son, and the Father.* The "little season" of Satan's release is a one hundred year period that ties up all loose ends before the Kingdom of the Father comes.

Many books and papers have been written on the mysteries of the Bible. Some of the topics cover Bible history, theology, and trivia under the umbrella of a mystery defined by the writer not by God. Other writings cover the mysteries as stated by the apostles Paul and John, but offer only cursory context and explanation. Few if any provide total scriptural context with background, intended audience, and how the mysteries culminate to finality. Peter warned of looking at prophecy in isolation when he stated in 2 Peter 1:20, "This first knowing, that any prophecy of scripture of its own interpretation is not." This book looks at each mystery as defined by the Holy Spirit as, first, being a mystery. Second, each mystery is examined by looking at the Biblical application and timing from beginning to end as the mystery will be made manifest to more than the believer. Finally, the mysteries are discussed in the logical order of their revelation and brought to a conclusion by the last mystery before the eternal state. The last mystery "The mystery of God should be finished" (Revelation 10:7), brings the wisdom of God into full view for the believer who desires to be a good steward of God's word. Tommy Jamison spent more than 35 years in Industry as a licensed engineer, researcher, manufacturing and engineering executive. He holds BS and MS degrees in engineering and applied statistics. He taught experimental design courses at university level and holds patents in metallurgy, metrology, and pressure piping products. He has taught Bible classes primarily in Sunday School for over forty years and currently teaches an adult couples' class. He is the author of three previous books, "What Christians Need to Know about the Quran and Islam", "Values that Divide-Destroy-Degrade" and "Revelation for the Layperson".

This new edition of Systematic Theology by Wayne Grudem is one of the most important resources for helping you understand Scripture and grow as a Christian. The most widely used resource of the last 25 years in its area, Systematic Theology has been thoroughly revised and expanded for the first time while retaining the features that have made it the standard in its field: clear explanations, an emphasis on each doctrine's scriptural basis, and practical applications to daily life. With nearly 250 pages of new content and revisions, this new edition now includes the following distinctive features: Updated analysis of recent controversies within evangelical theology, including the eternal relationship between the Father and the Son in the Trinity, the role of women in the church, miraculous gifts of the Holy Spirit, and contemporary worship music. New discussion and critiques of recent theological controversies situated outside of traditional evangelical theology, such as open theism, the "new perspective on Paul," Molinism (or "middle knowledge"), "Free Grace" theology, and the preterist view of Christ's second coming. Completely revised chapter on the clarity of Scripture. Completely revised chapter on creation and evolution, including a longer critique of theistic evolution and an extensive discussion on the age of the earth. New discussion of how biblical inerrancy applies to some specific "problem verses" in the Gospels. Additional material explaining evangelical Protestant differences with Roman Catholicism, Protestant liberalism, and Mormonism. Completely updated bibliographies. All Scripture quotations updated from RSV to ESV. Updated section on contemporary worship music. Numerous other updates and corrections. Part of the brilliance of Systematic Theology has been its simplicity and ease of use. Each chapter follows the same structure: discussion of the doctrine being considered, an explanation of that doctrine's biblical support and possible objections, followed by personal application and key terms to know for personal growth. Chapters also include a Scripture memory passage, references to other literature on the topic, and suggested hymns and worship songs. If you think theology is hard to understand or boring, then this new edition of Systematic Theology will change your mind.
