If you desire to heal yourself then you must take a hard look at your past and fully accept and forgive the person you have been. The best book to read is your own book – a story of humanity and self-awareness. Your own personal story is stored in your consciousness. Observe and feel your words rather than reacting and resisting. Your body is the universe and you have all you need within to free yourself from the material world. ENERGY is all that exists in the universe and penetrates everything into existence. Too much energy is negative. You need to be aware of the emotional and mental baggage which you carry from the past. Kenqin will help you to realize this and teach you to grow and set yourself free. You are the past, the future, and the present. “The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.” Kenqin will show you that gradual change is not that scary.

On May 2, 1973, Black Panther Assata Shakur (aka JoAnne Chesimard) lay in a hospital, close to death, handcuffed to her bed, while local, state, and federal police attempted to question her about the shootout on the New Jersey Turnpike that had claimed the life of a white state trooper. Long a target of J. Edgar Hoover's campaign to defame, infiltrate, and criminalize Black nationalist organizations and their leaders, Shakur was incarcerated for four years prior to her conviction on flimsy evidence in 1977 as an accomplice to murder. This intensely personal and political autobiography belies the fearsome image of JoAnne Chesimard long projected by the media and the state. With wit and candor, Assata Shakur recounts the experiences that led her to a life of activism and portrays the strengths, weaknesses, and eventual demise of Black and White revolutionary groups at the hand of government officials. The result is a signal contribution to the literature about growing up Black in America that has already taken its place alongside The Autobiography of Malcolm X and the works of Maya Angelou. Two years after her conviction, Assata Shakur escaped from prison. She was given political asylum by Cuba, where she now resides.

I joined the teachers’ revolution of the 60s, expecting to work for a just and honored profession. Colliding symbiotic values fomented into the experiences that defined my future. The established order asked us to comply and compromise. Idealism required us to accommodate pragmatism while never compromising our passion for justice. Mine is a story about choices. Choices that took me from school teacher to teacher advocate, from the teachings of John Calvin to the philosophy of Baruch Spinoza, from conservative to the progressive/left. A path guided by inculcated values, influenced by social and political events, molded by mentors and interrupted by tragedy. Along the way I met great teachers, organizers, philosophers, policy makers, writers, and presidents. Born into a conservative rural, Iowa family, I was inspired by Bobby Kennedy’s promise of withdrawal from Viet Nam and his passion to fulfill Martin Luther King’s vision of a just society. But Bobby was gone and with him much of the hope he had inspired. Flying away from my safe, predictable life as a teacher near Lake Okoboji, I hoped to embrace a new life as an organizer. Today, as I reflect on life’s lessons, I believe that justice, mercy, and humility should guide the organizer’s mantra: “Educate, Agitate, Organize.”

This novel does not belong to a "Romantic Bollywood Masala" (A line from Pyaar Ka Punchnama) but it consists of some instances that took place in my life and in my friend's life too. The incidents happened with me and my friends were true and realistic and I have covered all those stories in this book. I want to just convey the feelings which a child feels when he becomes a toddler to a teenager. I just want to convey a hidden message to this world; you will find it while reading the book.
