I have often wondered about knowing all the commandments of Jesus. Through the years I have tried to find them all in one reference point. Reading through the gospels I always found them interspersed with passages of other important information. Searching the Web I found limited numbers of them at a few different sites. I finally decided it might be worth gathering them all together in one place myself.

"In The Five Commandments of Jesus: A New Approach to Christianity, Patrick Amer presents to the ordinary Christian and the theologian alike his new, refreshing, and clear approach to the mission and meaning of Jesus of Nazareth. Amer identifies the five commandments of Jesus as central within the recorded ethical teachings of Jesus. These five commandments show the continued relevance and importance of Jesus in expressing God's will and plan for humankind. The book is clearly written and readily accessible to all readers. Discussion groups across denominations will find that this book meets each reader at the exact point at which we all find ourselves today." Roger Haight, S. J., Union Theological Seminary In this book, Patrick Amer describes his discovery of the five commandments of Jesus. He shows that the commandments are not a random selection of commands. They are an integrated and focused attack on humanity's most deeply embedded anti-social behaviors, those placed there by natural selection. He shows that these behaviors were in ancient times absorbed into humanity's public institutions, and they are still there. The kingdom of God is the community of men and women who live by the five commandments of Jesus, applying them in their personal lives and to public institutions as well. This book examines each commandment to show how it is to be practiced in one's personal life and how it is to be applied to public institutions. By practicing the five commandments of Jesus, the followers of Jesus participate in his redeeming mission and with him save the world.

Preface This book is like a companion to the New Testament; it can be called the New Testament companion. This book seeks to answer the most asked questions about God and his word. It tells of the things that we accept as truth without investigating their validity or their originality and of what existed to cause us to go astray. We take a born-come-see attitude, so we do not question it to see where it came from and what was said at the beginning. We receive the Gospel like the days of Noah. It is like a telephone game where you call somebody and tell them something. They call someone else and repeat what you said. By the time it reaches the fifth person, it is a completely different statement. That is how we teach a false Gospel. The wrong understanding is spoken so many times that we believe it to be true. We accept too many things without investigating where they began. We need to learn from Dr. Luke. Most honorable Theophilus: Many people have written accounts about the events that took place among us. They used as their source material the reports circulating among us from the early disciples and other eyewitnesses of what God has done in fulfillment of his promises. Having carefully investigated all of these accounts from the beginning, I have decided to write a careful summary for you, to reassure you of the truth of all you were taught. (Luke 1:14 NLT) Daily Bread Give us this day our daily bread. (Matt. 6:11) We are told to say this prayer, but we never questioned about it. Most of us assume. Many times a day, we feed our bodies through our mouths, and it goes down to our stomach; we need to be aware of feeding our souls. Man doth not live by bread only. (Deut. 8:3 KJV) We need to feed our souls from our eyes and ears to our brain. Yeshua says, Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entered in at the mouth goes into the belly, and is cast out into the draught? (Matt. 15:1617 KJV) The bread mentioned in Matthew 6:11 is to feed the brain from our eyes and ears to our brains. Christ wants us to ask our Father for more of him that we can be more like him. Deuteronomy 8:3, the second statement, is saying to the Israelis that real life comes by obeying every command of God. That is where Yeshua's commandment comes in. Yeshua says, "If ye love me, keep my commandments" (John 14:15 KJV). You cannot keep commandments if you do not know them. The only commands spoken of are 613 commands in the mitzvah. Those mentioned in Exodus 20:317 are for everyone. I did my best trying to find the commands of Christ and list them book by book; you should read them from your Bible, which will help you to be familiar with the word of God. In Bible class, it would be good to study them in order to get acquainted with them. In Christianity, pastors say you should read your Bible to become like Jesus. If you do not have a guide, And he said how can I, except some man should guide me? (Acts 8:31 KJV) You could read through the Bible one hundred times and still couldn't act like Christ. Christ told us what to look f∠? if we find them and keep them, we will be like him. Christ says, "If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love" (John 15:10 KJV). There are three sets of commands. One, a set of ten, was given by the Father and written by his own fingers; the other 603 were given to Moses to write and be given to Israel. These were nailed to the cross when Christ died. And the other set was given by Christ through the Holy Ghost, which included a repeat of some of what was given to Israel. Christ wants to see himself in us. Before the thermometer existed, when a goldsmith wanted to know if the metal was hot, he would look to see if he could see himself in the melted metal. If he couldn't see him in the metal, the metal was not hot enough. When Christ can see his words manifesting in us, he wil

Before Jesus ascended to heaven, He gave His last instructions, telling us to “go make disciples” and “teach them to observe all things I have commanded you.” But what are the commands of Jesus? Norman H. Drummond, who has served in a variety of Christian ministries over more than forty-five years, tackles that important question. As you read, learn how to: • identify the commands of Jesus found in the four gospels; • recognize the difference between which of Jesuses words are commands and which are important, precious, amazing, and awesome, but not commandments; • “make disciples” by clearly teaching new believers “all things I have commanded you.” The commandments of Jesus were not handed to us as a concise list like the one Moses received on Mount Sinai. However, His commandments are recorded for us in scripture, and He expects us to obey them. Studying these commandments reveal a major difference between the commandments given to Moses and those given by Jesus. They are as different as “Thou shalt not ...” and “If you love me ...” and they are eternal truth.

God has given us ten simple rules to follow that we may have life and have it more abundantly. From the time He unveiled the Ten Commandments to the children of Israel at Mount Sinai until now, God's people have been identified by the fact that they follow His commandments. The Ten Commandments are the Christian's code of conduct that separates us from the rest of the world and serves as a barometer of our allegiance to the Creator of the universe. Ten Commandments: The Christian Code of Conduct examines the commandments of God and how they apply to the Christian life. The book also addresses one of the most misunderstood commandments--the fourth commandment and the call to observe the biblical Sabbath. Many Christians differ on their interpretation of this commandment, but through a clear study of the Bible, this book points to the truth of the Sabbath and the importance for Christians to follow all ten commandments. As the end of the world draws near, those who will be ready for Christ's return are "those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus" (Rev. 14:12). May God's followers be found keeping all ten of His commandments!
