J Woody. L. M, Segle and I). A Bright, to frame a constitution under which to organize a Baptist Sunday School Convention in the bounds of the New ound Association. At this time it was permanently organized by electing Rev. L. M. Segle, President, C. J. Woody, v' 1cc President and M. Evhayes, Secretary and Treasurer. The President failing to meet with the Convention at the French Broad church, the Vice Pres ident called the Convention to order; after which Rev. 8. C. Owen opened the Convention by reading some Scripture, and prayer. An address was then delivered by Rev IV. N. Martin. Subject: The training of children. On motion adjourned one hour -for refreshment.
