The guide contains full-color photographs of these Michigan natural areas, along with maps and directions to each featured site. In addition, the guide explains where and when to look for wildlife, provides helpful viewing tips, and includes brief descriptions of ecological concepts critical to wildlife conservation in the Great Lakes State.Some sites listed in the guide are well-known around the world, such as Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and Seney National Wildlife Refuge.
