In this collection of hilarious shorter pieces, Jason unleashes his inner Scandinavian goofball. God, the Devil, mummies, vampires, zombies, werewolves, reanimated skeletons, space invaders, Death, cavemen, Godzilla and Elvis populate these most often wordless blackout gags, side by side with Jason's usual Little-Orphan-Annie-eyed, rabbit-and-bird-head protagonists - a "lighter side" of one of the best cartoonists of the new millennium.

Download Little John's Angels Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
John, an unmotivated seven year old is taken back in time by an adult angel. She tries to teach him the true meaning of life. He returns from his many adventures and tells his family about the angel, but none of them believe him. A child angel wants to be his guardian and comes to visit him. The child angel must get John to tell him about every adventure the adult angel took him through, but John is too lazy to tell him. John puts the job off on his sister and brother, but first he has to convince them there is an angel wanting to hear the stories. John wonders why his family, who professes to believe in angels and goes to church, can't believe that he has seen two angels. The baby angel, Joshua, gives John the gift to communicate with all animals, but his family thinks he is making it up. Meanwhile the family is planning a grand vacation with their father who is in on furlong. The family pets are to go also, that is, if they can get stubborn Rambo, their huge dog, to get his shots for the trip. At the vet, Rambo runs into the woods. Meow, the cat, and Baby, the small dog, along with John follow him. They end up at John's grand-parents' farm where they get into all kinds of humorous mischief. When Joshua shows up again, he promises John if someone will tell him the story, he will take all of the children and animals to another dimension where they will have a spectacular vacation climax.

Jere and Beth start dating then get recruited to the CIA to find Mullah Omar. Mullah is chased through Paris Rome and eventually found. The journey is amazing and will have you biting your nails and on the edge of your seat. Then what they discover is that the whole western world is already infected or at risk facing death in 60 days. Beth is a part of finding the cure and vaccine. I wrote this from September 2011 to December 2011 and just finished editing nothing has changed accept for the romance between Jere and Beth. You'll love this book the movie will be rated PG as the book is too. No cuss words, no vulgarity, no violence, no sexual innuendos, no blood or guts, it's a very good book. It's one for everyone in the family. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are regulars in the oval office scenes. Seal team six makes an appearance, it's a good Tom Clancy type book with some Jeremiah Nichols romantic comedy. You'll love every page.

Download Gender in Interaction Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
In this volume, gender is seen as a communicative achievement and as a social category interacting with other social parametres such as age, status, prestige, institutional and ethnic frameworks, cultural and situative contexts. The authors come from a variety of backgrounds such as sociology of communication, anthropological linguistics, sociolinguistics, social psychology, and text linguistics. Masculinity and femininity are conceived of as varying culturally, historically and contextually. All contributions discuss empirical research of communication and the question of whether (and how) gender is a salient variable in discourse. So, one aim of the book is to trace the varying relevance of gender in interaction. Emotion politics, ideology, body concepts, and speech styles are related to ethnographic description of the contexts within which communication takes place. These contexts range from private to public communication, and from mixed-sex to same-sex conversations framed by different cultural backgrounds (Australian, German, Georgian, Turkish, US-American).

Download The Cat's Meow Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
The past, present, and future of the world's most popular and beloved pet, from a leading evolutionary biologist and great cat lover. "Engaging and wide-ranging ... The Cat's Meow is a readable and informed exploration of the wildcat that lurks within Fluffy." —The Washington Post The domestic cat—your cat—has, from its evolutionary origins in Africa, been transformed in comparatively little time into one of the most successful and diverse species on the planet. Jonathan Losos, writing as both a scientist and a cat lover, explores how researchers today are unraveling the secrets of the cat, past and present, using all the tools of modern technology, from GPS tracking (you’d be amazed where those backyard cats roam) and genomics (what is your so-called Siamese cat . . . really?) to forensic archaeology. In addition to solving the mysteries of your cat's past, it gives us a cat's-eye view of today's habitats, including meeting wild cousins around the world whose habits your sweet house cat sometimes eerily parallels. Do lions and tigers meow? If not, why not? Why does my cat leave a dead mouse at my feet (or on my pillow)? Is a pet ocelot a bad idea? When and why did the cat make its real leap off the African plain? What’s with all those cats in Egyptian hieroglyphics? In a genial voice, casually deciphering complex science and history with many examples from his own research and multi-cat household, Losos explores how selection, both natural and artificial, over the last several millennia has shaped the contemporary cat, with new breeds vastly different in anatomy and behavior from their ancestral stock. Yet the cat, ever a predator, still seems only one paw out of the wild, and readily reverts to its feral ways as it occupies new lands around the world. Humans are transforming cats, and they in turn are transforming the world around them. This charming and intelligent book suggests what the future may hold for both Felis catus and Homo sapiens.
