To my Mother for her gift of life, her sacrifices and her unconditional love. The death of a Mother is the first sorrow we grieve without her. The Two Continents is the second novel in the trilogy of "Memoirs", the first of which - Memoirs of a Young Allien: THE EXILE - tells the story of my childhood in Alexandria and Lebanon. I wanted to write Exile to pay tribute to my mother who, against all odds, without a husband and penniless, gave me the chance for a better life. In the Middle East region and at a time when women were completely destitute, my mother overcame all obstacles and survived for the well-being of her only son. The Two Continents tells the story of three friends in search of an identity, a country, a life. It is also the story of my home country, Lebanon, which sank for fifteen years into an absurd and murderous civil war in which the belligerents showed unbounded hostility. Religious, political and military power must not engender resentment and violence. It must not only respect the minority, but above all protect the weakest and most deprived. The greatest victims of ethnic and religious cleansing were often civilians, particularly women and children. The wound left by this war is gaping and will take generations to heal. Rico, emigrated to Canada with his single mother, narrowly escaping the civil war. As a teenager, he tries to adapt to his new environment and forge a future in his adopted country. Will he succeed in living the great North American dream? Johnny, a young teenager, is growing up in the bowels of the Civil War. Refusing to take up arms, he escapes forced conscription at the last minute. As a street kid, he uses wiles and ingenuity to survive. Out of breath, he took the risk of fleeing illegally to Canada. Rami, a childhood friend of Rico's, became passionate about his country's cause and took up arms to fight alongside the Christian militia. Disillusioned by the absurd turn that this fratricidal war takes, he abandons the armed struggle. Barely escaping death, he decides to emigrate to Canada to find a better life.

Memoirs of a Young Alien tells the story of three generations of emigrants searching for an identity, a country, a better life. Ohannes, the Armenian grandfather, fled Turkey in 1916 to escape the genocide and resumed his life in Alexandria, Egypt. There he met Adele, a Lebanese girl who had fled her country, escaping the great famine triggered by the blockade of the Ottoman Empire. Ohannes and Adele’s children would scatter all over the world, from Australia to Canada. Alice, the eldest daughter, would leave Egypt precipitately in 1962, running away with her only son, Rico, and taking refuge in Beirut. For Rico, who is only six years old, it's the beginning of an exciting adventure, full of discoveries and challenges, between the cinemas of the Martyrs Square, the holidays in Aytouli village, the life in a boarding school and the first love bliss. Thanks to his mother’s hard work, he would benefit from a fine education at the best college in the country. The Six-Day War between Israel and the Arabic neighboring countries, the arrival of Palestinian refugees, inter-communal tensions, Israeli bombing: Rico is at the forefront of witnessing the preludes of the Lebanese civil war. In 1973, however, the teen escapes the impending disaster and flees to Canada, where a new life awaits him.

[Mardukite Heritage Edition: A reissue of an otherwise cycled out-of-print edition kept available for review and posterity as part of the developmental legacy of the Mardukite Research Organization, founded 2008.]Best known by his given name and work as Joshua Free, the prolific writer and founder of the modern Mardukite Anunnaki revival movement finally reveals his true nature and identity – as the hybrid alien messenger, NABU - in the much-anticipated public disclosure, “Nabu Speaks! - The Autobiography of an Alien Messenger.”This amazingly unique and historically verifiable first-person narrative explains the struggles and successes of the ancient Nabu tribes, a “Mardukite clan” that sought to famously raise Babylon and Egypt to power by 'Divine Right' under MARDUK-RA; the rise and fall of the Sumerian Anunnaki, the creation and disposal of upgraded humans, the birth of societal systems of religion and politics, as well as interpersonal exchanges and feuds that were taking place “behind-the-scenes” among the Anunnaki themselves, those “ancient aliens” who became fixed in human consciousness as gods, angels, demons and spirits.Following the chronicle of the ancient world, this amazing literary work explores the modern return of NABU to earth during present times, where it seems that human civilization has reached a critical crossroads in its evolution and survival. Challenged by a human existence in the current age, NABU explains the trials and tribulations of refining and correcting the Mardukite fragmentation of human reality, first begun by ancient alien “Anunnaki.” He candidly describes his experiences with modern seekers attracted to the movement in want for a means to achieve their own “spiritual upgrade,” to become 'self-honest' and participate in the survival of the next evolution of human life on earth.NABU SPEAKS! provides a critical key in realizing what it means to rise above the self-destructive tendencies of human nature. It demonstrates the necessity for people to know this 'universal knowledge' about human origins and systems to allow for a true “New Age” paradigm-shift - to work together in peace, love and unity. The future of humanity is to live in wholeness, more than simply “in the image” of the gods, but to become as the “gods” yourself and take your rightful place in the cosmos!

More than a book, more than a non-fiction read, more than a memoir, CONFESSIONS OF A SURVIVING ALIEN will engage the reader like most have never experienced. It will take them through a maze of lifes pathos, and elicit the emotions of sadness, joy, pain, regret, guilt, remorse, pride, fear, revenge, happiness, forgiveness, evil, good, and much uniquely intertwined with humor, often times outrageously so. Although defined by the premise of Vietnam, it is much more than another war account, to the contrary. It is more often the dredge of a neophyte Marine trying to get more into the war and action, than out of it. It is more about his disillusionment in practically every aspect of that officially declared police action, but not in ways one might expect. It is more about his evolution and regression as a human being and inner torment, including feelings of alienation. The book starts at the end, and ends with the start, with a chronological account in between, covering four parts: Before Vietnam (BV), During Vietnam (DV), After Vietnam (AV), and finally, After Marines (AM). The story covers the life of a young American, and follows his incredible journey through the decades to find himself, to explore every possibility of livingand nearly dyingand reach some hopeful level of success, however that is defined. From having a unique tour in Vietnam, to escorting deceased Marines to their families and final resting place, to his life threatened by a mob guy, to learning about a deeply held family secret concerning his father, to experiencing a profound spiritual experience in the unlikely locale of Beverly Hills, California, and much more, author Jon Meades biggest challenge may be getting readers to believe his surreal story. He merely shrugs and says, I am just a very ordinary guy, with an extraordinary life to convey. It is nothing less, nor more than that. Maybe, he admits, in the end analysis, success in life is merely surviving life, failures and all. With that admission and a very personal and engaging approach and writing style, the genre of Memoirs may never be the same.
