The authors measure the number of charmed and of anit-charmed particles per B decay and derive the total charm yield per B[sup -] decay, n[sub c][sup -] = 1.313 [+-] 0.037 [+-] 0.037 [+-] 0.062[sub -0.043][sup +0.063], and per [bar B][sup 0] decay, n[sub c][sup 0] = 1.276 [+-] 0.062 [+-] 0.058[sub -0.046][sup +0.066] where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third reflects the charm branching-fraction uncertainties.

We have measured the branching fractions for B[yields][bar D]X, B[yields] DX, and B[yields][bar D]X[ell][sup+][nu], where ''B'' is an average over B[sup 0] and B[sup+], ''D'' is a sum over D[sup 0] and D[sup+], and ''[bar D]'' is a sum over[bar D][sup 0] and D[sup -]. We report on a study of inclusive B{sup -} and {bar B}{sup 0} meson decays to D{sup 0}X, {bar D}{sup 0}X, D{sup +}X, D{sup -}X, D{sub s}{sup +}X, D{sub s}{sup -}X, {Lambda}{sub c}{sup +}X, {bar {Lambda}}{sub c}{sup -}X, based on a sample of 231 million B{bar B} events recorded with the BABAR detector at the {Upsilon}(4S) resonance. Events are selected by completely reconstructing one B and searching for a reconstructed charm particle in the rest of the event. From the measured branching fractions of these decays, we infer the number of charm and anti-charm particles per {bar B} decay, separately for charged and neutral parents. We derive the total charm yield per B{sup -} decay, n{sub c}{sup -} = 1.202 {+-} 0.023 {+-} 0.040{sub -0.029}{sup +0.035}, and per {bar B}{sup 0} decay, n = 1.193 {+-} 0.030 {+-} 0.034{sub -0.035}{sup +0.044} where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third reflects the charm branching-fraction uncertainties. We also present the charm momentum distributions measured in the {bar B} rest frame.

The authors report the observation of 823 ± 57 B° and 970 ± 65 B decays to doubly charmed final states {bar D}{sup (*)} D{sup (*)}K, where {bar D}{sup (*)} and D{sup (*)} are fully reconstructed and K is either a K{sup ±} or a K°. They use a sample of 82.3 ± 0.9 million B{bar B} events collected between 1999 and 2002 with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II storage ring at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. The 22 possible B decays to {bar D}{sup (*)} D{sup (*)}K are reconstructed exclusively and the corresponding branching fractions or limits are determined. The branching fractions of the B° and of the B to {bar D}{sup (*)} D{sup (*)}K are found to be [Beta](B° 2!{bar D}{sup (*)}D{sup (*)}K) = (4.3 ± 0.3(stat) ± 0.6(sys))%, [Beta](B+ 2!{bar D}{sup (*)} D{sup (*)}K) = (3.5 ± 0.3(stat) {+-} 0.5(syst))%.

The authors present a measurement of the branching fraction for the decay B[sup -] [yields] D[sup 0]K*[sup -] using a sample of approximately 86 million B[bar B] pairs collected by the BABAR detector from e[sup +]e[sup -] collisions near the [Upsilon](4S) resonance. The D[sup 0] is detected through its decays to K[sup -] [pi][sup +], K[sup -][pi][sup +][pi][sup 0] and K[sup -] [pi][sup +][pi][sup -][pi][sup +], and the K*[sup -] through its decay to K[sub S][sup 0] [pi][sup -]. They measure the branching fraction to be [Beta](B[sup -] [yields] D[sup 0]K*[sup -]) = (6.3 [+-] 0.7(stat.) [+-] 0.5(syst.)) x 10[sup -4].

We present a study of B semileptonic decays into charm final states based on 211.7 fb{sup -1} of data collected at the {Upsilon}(4S) resonance with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II e{sup +}e{sup -} storage ring. Using a novel technique based on the simultaneous fit of a set of variables reconstructed on the recoil of a B tagged in an hadronic decay mode, we measure the relative branching fractions {Lambda}(B{sup -} {yields} D{sup 0}{ell}{sup -}{bar {nu}}{sub {ell}}) = 0.611 {+-} 0.022 (stat.) {+-} 0.027 (syst.) and {Lambda}(B{sup -} {yields} D**{sup 0})(D{sup (*)}{pi}){ell}{sup -}{bar {nu}}{sub {ell}}/{Lambda}(B{sup -} {yields} DX{ell}{sup -}{bar {nu}}{sub {ell}}) = 0.173 {+-} 0.017 (stat.) {+-} 0.021 (syst.).

We report a measurement of the branching fractions of {bar B} 2!D** l−{bar {nu}}{sub l} decays based on 417 fb−1 of data collected at the [Upsilon](4S) resonance with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II ee− storage rings. Events are selected by fully reconstructing one of the B mesons in a hadronic decay mode. A fit to the invariant mass differences m(D{sup (*)})-m(D{sup (*)}) is performed to extract the signal yields of the different D** states. We observe the {bar B} 2!D**{ell}−{bar {nu}}{sub {ell}} decay modes corresponding to the four D** states predicted by Heavy Quark Symmetry with a significance greater than six standard deviations including systematic uncertainties.
