Chattanooga, Tennessee today is not the same town it was in the nineteen forties through the mid-eighties. Protected by a corrupt and self-serving local government, her masters fattened themselves on illegal enterprise. In this one book you have biography, treachery, and underworld intrigue. You have murder, and attempts at murder. You have innocence accused, and guilt unpunished. You have luxury, power, and privilege with their hands on all the strings. You have white lightning and whiskey runners, colorful whores, one great barroom brawl, and gunfights with such playbills as Cowboy Bob and the Shootout at The Fuzzy Duck. You have all the stuff of fiction, without the burden of a lie, all the benefit of great theatre, without having to leave your favorite chair. The best part of it is, it's all true. Down to the five o'clock shadow on the policemen dressed like prostitutes.

David Hinshaw was born many decades ago in the small town of Puyallup, Washington. For the first 23 years of his life he was a semi-professional student, attending Tyee High School, Highline Community College, the University of Washington (go Huskies!) and Northwest College, amongst others. Most of his adult life, he was a transportation engineer and cargo technician, driving truck for Willows Lumber then Corliss Resources. When forced to retire in 2003 by a disability, he began to pursue other interests which included poetry and writing. In late 2005, he was introduced to Angelia Mullins and began a correspondence with her because they lived some distance apart. In the beginning, he wrote largely for her entertainment but eventually it was suggested that a compilation of his stories might be considered. By early 2006, his combined production of poems and mini-stories numbered somewhere between 15 and 20. Over the next 12 months he added another 150 to the portfolio, part of which are presented in this book. His use of manifold pen names is simply a device that helps him "get into character" should one be called for. This book was written largely for his own amusement, but several people found his work compelling enough to encourage him to seek publication. Regardless of the level of success achieved by this venture, Mr. Hinshaw will soon be moving on to a new career in nano-technology, because his motto has always been, "No job is too small"!

"My name is Zachary Nixion Johnson. I am the last private detective on Earth...not exactly one hundred percent true, but it sounds good." "The year is 2057 and, after a handful of species-altering upheavals, earth-shatteringc cataclysms, history changing extra-terrestrial contacts, and pop-culture disasters, the world is now a pretty safe place..." "But every once in a while some crazy thing happens that threatens all of society, all of humanity, or the entire space-time continuum." "And for some reason it always happens on my watch." So begins the first installment of this all-new, all-hilarious trilogy that pokes fun at the pulps, and skewers sci-fi, as a private dick of the future goes after the most dangerous prey of all...The Plutonium Blonde.
