An offering to those who, though may be enlightened on some special point of science, take upon themselves the right of pronouncing arbitrarily their judgment on all things; and are ready to reject everything new which shocks their ideas, often for the sole reason that if it were true they could not remain ignorant of it!

Christian lamps were preserved by the power of god. Pagan lamps were the work of the devil, according to St. Augustine, “who deceives us in a thousand ways.” Their light is sublimated gold, rescued magically by invisible stellar attraction, out of material depths. With bibliographical note by Boris de Zirkoff.

The Secret Doctrine, the Synthesis of Science, Religion and Philosophy, a book originally published as two volumes in 1888, is Helena P. Blavatsky's magnum opus. The first volume is named Cosmogenesis, the second Anthropogenesis. It was an influential example of the revival of interest in esoteric and occult ideas in the modern age, in particular because of its claim to reconcile ancient eastern wisdom with modern science. Blavatsky claimed that its contents had been revealed to her by 'mahatmas' who had retained knowledge of mankind's spiritual history, knowledge that it was now possible, in part, to reveal. The first part of the book explained the origins of the universe itself, in terms derived from the Hindu concept of Yugas, or long passages of time through which the world is supposed to have evolved. Blavatsky attempted to demonstrate that the discoveries of "materialist" science had been anticipated in the writings of ancient sages, and that materialism would soon be proven wrong. Helena Petrovna Blavatsky (1831 -1891) was a Russian occultist, spirit medium, and author who co-founded the Theosophical Society in 1875. She gained an international following as the leading theoretician of Theosophy, the esoteric religion that the society promoted.

Download God, Science & the Secret Doctrine: The Zero Point Metaphysics & Holographic Space of H. P. Blavatsky Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
"Deity ... is in every point of the universe." H. P. Blavatsky (S.D.1888, p. 114) "the Secret teachings ... must be contrasted with the speculations of modern science. To make of Science an integral whole necessitates, indeed, the study of spiritual and psychic, as well as physical Nature. ... Without metaphysics ... real science is inadmissible." H. P. Blavatsky's The Secret Doctrine was published in 1888 and is relatively unknown in modern times. As it happens in this strange universe, Madame Blavatsky anticipated numerous modern concepts concerning the creation of the Universe and the mechanisms of the laws of nature-including the holographic paradigm in psychology and physics. Blavatsky articulated the concept of the zero point or singularity origin of the Cosmos and of the Sons, and a profound alternative view of the nature of the Aether and higher Space dimensions. Blavatsky states: ..". 'material points without extension' (zero-points) are ... the materials out of which the 'Gods' and other invisible powers clothe themselves in bodies ... the entire universe concentrating itself, as it were, in a single point." Dr. Holmes has grasped the profound meaning of this claim and related this ancient mystical teaching to the newest ideas in physics and science; as well as to explorations of human consciousness. God, Science & The Secret Doctrine raises the ultimate question of the existence or non-existence of God-and what we mean by this term.
