Lilah is a 4-year-old little girl who was born with Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa. A one in one million incurable, painful, and fatal genetic condition characterized by extreme fragility of the skin, connective tissues, and mucosal membranes. These children are often referred to as "butterfly children" as they are internally and externally as fragile as a butterfly. Although she fights open wounds and blisters daily, she is the epitome of strength and bravery. Her story and the story of many other butterflies inspired me to write this book. In hopes that children like Lilah might not feel so alone. They are the most incredible warriors on this earth! They, like Lilah, are the heroes among us! With more awareness comes the possibility of a cure! Thank you for doing your part and for sharing her inspirational story with your children!

So has Dr. Maggie Aderin-Pocock, astronomer and host of the BBC’s docuseries, The Sky at Night. In this lucidly written guide, Aderin-Pocock takes readers on a fascinating lunar journey. Aderin-Pocock begins with a basic overview—unpacking everything from the moon’s topography and composition to its formation and orbit around the Earth. She examines beliefs held by ancient civilizations, the technology that allowed for the first moon landing, a brief history of moongazing, and how the moon has influenced culture throughout the years. Forty-five million years ago, the supercontinent of Gondwanaland split apart. This created what are now known as India, Africa and South America. The huge landmass was named after the Gond people of India. Meeting a Gond storyteller on a visit to Bombay, Tahir Shah heard their ancient saga. He vowed to visit all three parts of Gondwanaland. As he travelled he met an extraordinary range of wanderers and expatriates, attended magical ceremonies and sought mythical treasures. Roughing it most of the way, Shah's expeditions move through sweltering India and Pakistan, Uganda and Rwanda, Kenya and Liberia, Brazil and finally Argentina's Patagonian glaciers. Roughing it for most of the journey, Shah shared his travels and his tales with a diverting mix of eccentric and entertaining characters, from Osman and Prideep, Bombay's answer to Laurel and Hardy, to Oswaldo Rodrigues Oswaldo, a well turned out Patagonian version of Danny De Vito.
