A "Choose Your Ending" Romance Asa Kelby, Director of Entrapment for WesCept, never knows what his job will entail day in and day out. After the earth passed through a comet’s tail, wiping out 90% of all animal species, life changed drastically for both humans and remaining animals. Gone is the surplus of meat for meals, domestic pets, and farm animals. But companies like WesCept are working hard to reverse that. Scientists have developed a machine that can reach back in time, seize animals of all shapes and sizes, and transport them forward to current time to repopulate the Earth, bringing those species back from extinction, and also provide food for meat-eaters. The biggest problem is they have no control over what animals the Grabber will trap, or even WHEN in history those animals will come from. At great risk, Asa’s boss tells him to turn up the power on the Grabber, in hopes of bringing in bigger game, but they weren’t quite expecting it to bring in something quite as large or prehistoric as they are soon facing. When the mistake is realized, it’s too late, and they get more than they bargained for. More than the history of Earth itself ever knew existed. And it will shake the very core of everyone’s belief as to humanity’s past.

Loving Large is a four week series that seeks to move people to action in their Christian faith. In a world that seems to run on money, greed, oil, power, etc., what would our world look like if it ran on the love of God? How can we infuse this world-changing love into our community and world? The series gives real opportunities for people to serve God and love their neighbor. It could possibly culminate with a church-wide day of service to the community. The Daily Readings allow individual church members to bring the sermon message home and provide additional insights and inspiration until the next Sunday sermon.

In the Spring of 19- I took a sabbatical from the University of C-, over-the-seas branch, Kawagawa, Cipan where I had been working towards the postponement of a doctoral degree in the dual fields of comparative histrionics and cryptophilology. The cause of my departure: that I would pursue an ancillary degree elsewhere, although some may have observed that I had rather quietly suffered a nervous breakdown. The simple, more economical pretext, however, was that I was maddeningly overworked and shamefully underemployed. Repatriated, I finally took a job in S. Hollywood with a talent agency founded by a wealthy, enlightened Japanese autodidact of Western Culture, or "Sei Bun" as Kennichi-"Ken" to his friends-Chibita-"Chibi" by the same friends-liked to call it, who claimed, but could never quite document, a connection with his own royal family. Ken had entered the film business with the intention of "Making Movies That Make The Differences And Represent A Goal Of Universal Culture," a letterhead slogan that fell just short of the felicitous. He idolized the silver-screen impresario Alexandr Korda, and would have emulated him. Accordingly, Kenchan had acquired a reputation for his readiness to buy, at cut-rate prices, the rights to stories or, should we say, fragments of stories, incomplete or in a state of hopeless disarray, ones such as other agencies would have refused as unrepresentable. In principle we operated much like corporate marauders, but in the reverse: We bought up under-producing literary properties and then reassembled them into "marginally" profitable entities.

Before becoming a mother, Leah Witman Moore would zoom through the day with her to-do list in hand, happily teaching high school students, and returning home to her loving husband, Zachary. Then their first child, Jordan, was born with an extremely rare syndrome called Cri Du Chat. And when their twin boys, Austin and Oliver, were born four years later, they found themselves surrounded by neurosurgeons and oncologists, once again testing the resolve of their sanity and their marriage. In Loving You Big, Leah Witman Moore recounts how she learns to balance the joys and sorrows of her life as she navigates between wig-clad dance parties and the painful loss of loved ones. This powerful and poignant memoir teaches readers to celebrate every small victory, savor every chaotic moment, and recognize the profound impact of a kind word.

When Gregory Marks is tricked into marrying a psychotic criminal addicted to methamphetamine and Prada shoes, only friendship, a gun and antidepressants can help him survive. Out from Under is one of those rare books that swings between despair and chaotic, comedic triumph. Two foreclosures, utter financial ruin, two career changes, being punked into marriage, a car-theft ring, two criminal brothers-in-law and a pair of teacup Chihuahuas drive Greg to the brink of self-destruction and, eventually, to a better life. Ultimately a story of triumph! Out From Under provides a true-to-life account of courage and humility, strength and vulnerability, humor and personal responsibility that are required ingredients to not only survive, but thrive and prevail over a challenge-filled past, chaos-laden present, and a treatable mental illness.

"This is an exceptional collection—the subject is of obvious importance, yet terribly undertheorized and unexamined. I know of no other work that offers what this collection provides."—Marcia Millman, author of Such a Pretty Face: Being Fat in America ". . . A valuable contribution to scholarly debates on the place of excessive bodies in contemporary culture. This book promises to enrich all areas of inquiry related to the politics of bodies."—Carole Spitzack, author of Confessing Excess: Women and the Politics of Body Reduction "This anthology includes a wide range of perceptive and original essays, which explore and analyze the underlying ideologies that have made fat "incorrect." Echoing the spirit of the nineteenth-century adage about children who should be neither seen nor heard, some of the authors powerfully remind us that we keep "bodies out of bound" silenced and unseen-unless, of course, we need to peek at the comic or grotesque."—Raquel Salgado Scherr, co-author of Face Value: The Politics of Beauty "Through textual analyses, video/film analyses, television theory, and literary theory, this collection demonstrates the various ways in which dominant representations of fat and corpulence have been both demonized and rendered invisible. . . . This volume will be a crucial corollary to work on the tyranny of slenderness; a collection of different perspectives on the fat body is sorely missing in women's studies, communication, and media studies."—Sarah Banet-Weiser, author of The Most Beautiful Girl in the World: Beauty Pageants and National Identity
