Comprising this list are insects and plant diseases of known or potential plant quarantine significance to the United States. Many diseases of particular interest are included even though they are found of general or of limited distribution in the United States. The latter pathogens are the interceptions which are either (1) new to the country of origin, or (2) new to the host plant, or (3) are of such limited distribution in the United States that they are worthy of mention.
