"Oh no, my lord!" he cried. "What shall we do?" (2 Kings 6:15). "Don't be afraid," Elisha calmly answered. "Those who are with us are more than those who are with them" (verse 16). Gehazi must have wondered if his master had lost his mind. They had maybe five minutes before the soldiers reached them . . . yet here was Elisha practically singing the lyrics to "It's a Small World" and pretending everything was going to be all right. But then the prophet prayed, "Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see" (verse 17). And with this, Gehazi suddenly saw what his master was seeing: a glorious, greater, and far more powerful army of the Lord surrounding the enemy invaders.
