From the very beginning, Words have been the vehicle to life's creative purpose. Words are used every day. You see them in newspapers, books, magazines, poetry, articles & etc. Words are very powerful, they can build up or tear down, also they can create. How you use them is key! All of creation is still in movement because of words spoken by God our Father. Even in the beginning stages it was persuasive words by the serpent that caused Adam and Eve to be stripped of their dominion and forced to be kicked out of the garden of Eden. Words are poetic, they're flattery, they're positive, they can even be insidious (wicked, poisonous) to our realm of flow if not used for the furtherance of the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus said it in John 6:63 that the words I speak are SPIRIT and are LIFE, want to experience the fullness of life? Catch the words of Christ in the spirit! Jesus words weren't so popular to the religious pious leaders within the New Testament, why? Because the things in which He spoke went against their understanding and what they've learned. Even when God created the heavens and the earth, His words spoke structure into what lacked structure, and it filled empty places! God even used the Prophets of the Old Testament to utter the word of the Lord, through the vehicle of prophetic streams. What have you spoken lately that has caused the scenery of your life to witness the flow of Gods creativity in your life? When was the last time your words built something? Your mouth is a portal, and your words flow out of the well of your belly where your true essence and power lies. The living scriptures even declare that the very breath (Word) of God will consume our enemy (2 Thessalonians 2:8). God doesn't just want us to read scripture, but He desires that we become the very representation of who He is in the earth. In order for words to be spoken we must understand the power of the tongue. The tongue helps you to enunciate and pronounce certain words. The vehicle of life and death lies in the tongue; if what you speak can cause a shift in your life, why allow the power of your speech to be silent? God never gave you a slurred speech or a slurred tongue. Even in the beginning process of being a baby, they let out a language that can't be understood, but within the process and time from childhood to teenage years and adulthood; our speech gradually improves step by step. Allow this book to bless you as God takes you into the pages of life behind words.

An Amazon Best Book of 2016 A celebration of the writing and editing life, as well as a look behind the scenes at some of the most influential magazines in America (and the writers who made them what they are). You might not know Terry McDonell, but you certainly know his work. Among the magazines he has top-edited: Outside, Rolling Stone, Esquire, and Sports Illustrated. In this revealing memoir, McDonell talks about what really happens when editors and writers work with deadlines ticking (or drinks on the bar). His stories about the people and personalities he’s known are both heartbreaking and bitingly funny—playing “acid golf” with Hunter S. Thompson, practicing brinksmanship with David Carr and Steve Jobs, working the European fashion scene with Liz Tilberis, pitching TV pilots with Richard Price. Here, too, is an expert’s practical advice on how to recruit—and keep—high-profile talent; what makes a compelling lede; how to grow online traffic that translates into dollars; and how, in whatever format, on whatever platform, a good editor really works, and what it takes to write well. Taking us from the raucous days of New Journalism to today’s digital landscape, McDonell argues that the need for clear storytelling from trustworthy news sources has never been stronger. Says Jeffrey Eugenides: “Every time I run into Terry, I think how great it would be to have dinner with him. Hear about the writers he's known and edited over the years, what the magazine business was like back then, how it's changed and where it's going, inside info about Edward Abbey, Jim Harrison, Annie Proulx, old New York, and the Swimsuit issue. That dinner is this book.”
