Most believers raised in churches that contend for the King James Bible as the infallible word of God are familiar with 2 Timothy 2:15 and the idea of dispensationalism. In fact, most Bible believers are so familiar with their Scofield Reference Bibles they can tell you which side of the page a certain passage is on from memory. For many Bible believers, dispensationalism, as a theological system, answers so called “problem passages” that clearly teach salvation by means other than “by grace...through faith” in the finished work of Jesus Christ. At the same time, many King James Only believers remain unsettled or unsure about the differences in salvation under the various dispensations. Their pastors may not emphasize or teach these distinctions, or they may have fallen prey to King James Only preachers and authors who teach just the opposite. Some of these authors have been teaching this faulty dispensational position for years while others have more recently modified this as their position. In this booklet we will briefly trace the development of dispensationalism as it relates to salvation under the various dispensations. We will show that the dispensationalism being taught by many King James Only preachers and authors is nothing more than a revised dispensational position rooted in Calvinism. We will also dismantle the faulty premises of this revised position by addressing the major points and examining their books in light of the Book.

The King James Version (KJV) has been a gift of God to the Body of Christ. It has been the standard of truth and inspiration which has stabilized the Protestant Church and blessed millions of people. Still, someone needs to say it: the KJV is an inferior translation. In these pages, Dr. Harold R. Eberle clearly shows the errors and biases of the KJV, hoping that you will consider the advantages of more modern translations.

Is The New King James Bible Just An Updated King James? It promised to be a 5th edition of the KJV, preserving "the originally intended meaning of every verse." Did publishers and translators keep their promise? Author David Daniels shows us in this book that the classical language (including the "thees" and "thous") is not all that was changed. In fact, this Bible is not a King James at all! Some of the "updates" actually change doctrines! “I’M NOT SAYING WHAT COULD HAPPEN. I’M SHOWING YOU WHAT DID HAPPEN.” – DAVID W DANIELS It cannot be a true King James, if salvation is changed from a finished work to an unfinished process (1 Corinthians 1:18). How can you know you are saved? Or in Matthew 7:14 where it says, "Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life…"? God did not make the way "difficult". Salvation is as close as our mouth and our heart! These tiny changes, as well as others like it, have made a big difference, moving people from faith to doubt in God and His words. But there’s more. The publishers of the New King James said, themselves, that their goal was to provide a “transitional bridge” to a modern Bible (and they sell plenty of them). As people get used to seeing words changed in their Bible, they soon will accept a Bible that changes even more! Eventually, you have a Bible with wording vague enough, in many key areas, that all the world’s religions will be able to “fit” their doctrines into it. This is actually part of the larger plan for everyone to accept one world Bible for the Antichrist’s coming one world religion. How do we counter this? By teaching our children how to read the clear words of the King James, we can bring faith and not doubt to the next generation. In fact, as you will see in this book, if previous generations had done this, the New King James would never have been made.

How we understand God's future purposes for the world must shape, to a significant degree, how Christians live life in the present. The decades since the publication of Hal Lindsey's, The Late Great Planet Earth, have seen a great deal of "end-times" speculation. Signs of the end-time apocalypse occurring soon have been heralded across our radios, televisions, the internet, and through written forms of media, urging people to either be ready for the rapture or be left behind to endure the horrific suffering of the tribulation as God's end-time program unfolds. Is this really what the Bible teaches about the purposes of the God of whom our Bible declares "so loved the world" that he gave his only son in order that all things be reconciled. The Last Days of Dispensationalism carefully examines this popular understanding known to us as dispensationalism and urges us to think again and to see within the Bible's grand salvation narrative and in the person of Jesus Christ a better message of redemptive hope for the future and a greater sense of meaning and purpose for the present.
