When her school had to shut down because of the Covid19 virus in March of 2020, she used the book as a way to reach out to her students. Through rhymes and illustrations, she reassured them that they were not alone, and encouraged them to try new things (like she did - by writing her first book!) She shared a video of herself reading the book with her students, along with a coloring book version they could print and color at home. This is the coloring book version of the book. A few extra pages were added at the end so the reader can add pictures and stories about their experiences during this time in history.
