To properly interpret the Book of Revelation, we must have a thorough understanding of the New Covenant Spiritual Life. We must learn to emphasize the spiritual over the material. We must have a Heavenly orientation, as opposed to an Earthly orientation, to life, history, and our future.

Rich in content and replete with warnings concerning the last days, this epistle of only twenty-five verses has often been neglected by students of God's Word. Jude: The Acts of the Apostes is a scholarly, practical exposition of this short but important New Testament book. The early development of a logical structural outline brings out Jude's inherent organization and progression of thought. Frequent reference is made to other outstanding commentaries, and difficult passages are clearly discussed. Jude: The Acts of the Apostates is a versatile commentary worthy of study by either the well-trained pastor or the inquiring layman.

This commentary addresses basic questions that arise when reading Jude - questions about the sovereignty of God, the reliability of Scripture, the tactics of false teachers, and the promise of Jesus to set things right when He returns. In addition, each chapter of this study explores at least one key word or phrase, and poses challenging questions for personal or group study.

Biblical studies can never remain static, for the passage of time brings fresh light to bear upon the text. Jeremiah wrote, "It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassion fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness." (Lam. 3:22-23). John the beloved too exhorts us to "not believe every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets (apostates) are gone out into the world" (1 John 4:1). Church history has it that the church is the seamless garment of Christ. The garment that has so experienced threats of schism through heretical concepts such as: Ebionitism (an attempt to blend Judaism and Christianity), Montanism (extreme emphasizing of spiritual gifts more than Scripture), Monarchianism (rejection of the Trinity), Donatism ( an ecclesiastical problem), Ascetism (an extreme self-torture of one's body to show their spirituality) and Gnosticism (a philosophical issue- see introduction to Jude- Background and setting). This present work in your hand deals with Gnostic works of the apostates. The apostates did exist in the days of the apostles and the early church fathers, as they are in this present generation, though in a modernized version. In spite of this menace, there still exist exegetes who apply themselves to pondering through the word of God, truthfully and with sincerity. I have endeavored to keep the single purpose of this work simple, which is to bring to light: Who an apostate is, The damnable outcomes of an apostate, Denunciation of apostates and The end of an apostate. All genuine enquirers will find this study of absolute importance. For study reference and equipping of the saints. The basic text of my usage is the HOLY BIBLE - KING JAMES VERSION (published by Concerned Independent Baptist Churches. Printed by First Baptist Church of Milford.) However, other Bible translations have been used to clarify some words or phrases, or simply to get the other version of the word or phrase. God bless you

The chapters in this book were first taught many years ago in the Fresno School of Mission course at our church. The outline and lecture notes from that verse by verse study were converted into this book. This is a devotional study and commentary on all twenty-five verses of Jude. My purpose was to make technical Greek words and phrases understandable to all Christian believers. I also wanted to give practical applications and real-life stories that are often missing from scholarly commentaries. We start out in Jude 1-4 to see how the Lord empowers us to live a godly life and contend for the faith. In Jude 5-7, we look at the three great judgments on Israel, the angels who sinned, and the people of Sodom and Gomorrah. Jude 8-11 gives us keen discernment on false teachers. They are like Cain, Balaam, and Korah. Verses 12-19 give us further insights into the apostates and God's judgment of them. Both Enoch and the apostles have already predicted their arrival. Finally, in Jude 20-25, we see how Christians can avoid apostasy and rescue others from it. Ultimately, it is God who keeps us from falling away. To Him be all the glory.
