The Indigo Child is a boy or girl who displays a new and unusual set of psychological attributes, revealing a pattern of behavior generally undocumented before. Throughout this work, Carroll and Tober bring together some very fine minds (doctors, educators, psychologists, and more) who shed light on the Indigo Child phenomenon. These children come in "knowing" who they are—so they must be recognized, celebrated for their exceptional qualities, and guided with love and care. This book is a must for parents!

What is an Indigo Child? There really isn't one definitive answer. In simple terms it is a person with a warrior spirit, always questioning and challenging the ways of the world and has a strong sense of a higher purpose. The name Indigo Child is the gateway that leads you to more answers. The Indigo Child is what I like to call the "system-busters" of our society. They share a collective mission of taking down old, outdated, negative, fear-based, ego-dominated structures and lower conscious related systems to make room for creating a world of peace, harmony, and love for humanity and for future generations to come. The purpose of this book is to help those seeking guidance. Here are some questions to which the Indigo Children answer YES. 1. Do you sometimes feel a lot wiser beyond your years? 2. Do you feel alone or isolated in your beliefs? 3. Do you have trouble conforming to the ways of society? 4. Are you a seeker of truth? 5. Do you feel out of place in today's society? If you read them and you answered YES to at least one of them, then this book might be the answer you've been searching for. Find yourself in a different world, one that understands you and that you understand. And while you're at it don't forget to LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH.

Since the 1980s people have been writing about the indigo children. Today, many believe that nearly 80 percent of all children born are indigos. These are exceedingly creative, high-energy, perceptive kids who often don’t fit in. They seem to have an awareness that is light years beyond their age and quite often they are labeled as ADD, ADHD, or ODD when in actuality they are, in the words of the Dosicks, simply “children of spirit.” What sets this book apart from other books is that it approaches the issues facing indigos on a spiritual-energetic rather than purely cognitive level, and it is prescriptive, teaching a specially developed set of games that can help heal indigo children both in their own bodies and in their earthly relationships. Here the Dosicks name seventeen particular emotional wounds indigos hold in their bodies and give specific exercises for healing each one. The games have proven enormously helpful to these often-troubled kids—even preteens and teenagers. They celebrate the children’s different ways of perception and calm their agitation. The games involve some hands-on healing techniques, some scripted meditations, and other quick and simple techniques. Each game takes no more than two minutes to play, and this book features 101 black-and-white photographs showing parents exactly how to use the practices.

"The Indigo Children? Oh yeah . . . I know about them! Wasn’t there a movie about that? They’re those special kids who do psychic things and who have dark blue auras, right?" If that’s your take on the Indigos, then you really need to read this book. The Indigo Children are not super-psychic kids with dark blue auras. In fact, the Indigo moniker has nothing to do with auras or being psychic. Some of these teenagers are actually the ones who are strapping on bombs and bringing guns to school, so you can see that the subject here is far more profound than the sensational hype that often accompanies it. This book is all about the children of our planet, what really might be happening with them, why they do what they do, and what we can do to help them and our educators survive all this. In addition, the Indigos are slowly beginning to join the work force (gasp)! Join Lee Carroll and Jan Tober, the original authors of The Indigo Children, for a profound and frank discussion of this topic, ten years later. After all this time, what do some in higher education say about these kids? What do industry leaders say? Humanity is evolving, so you should definitely be aware of what these individuals are saying. It’s time to stop the circus that has been created around this subject and get down to finding out how to help these children survive an earth they don’t understand . . . or perhaps it’s just you they don’t understand. . . . Join the leaders of education and industry who speak out in this book for a peek into the real issues surrounding the Indigos, and perhaps the future of humanity!

A compassionate, shame-free guide for your darkest days “A one-of-a-kind book . . . to read for yourself or give to a struggling friend or loved one without the fear that depression and suicidal thoughts will be minimized, medicalized or over-spiritualized.”—Kay Warren, cofounder of Saddleback Church What happens when loving Jesus doesn’t cure you of depression, anxiety, or suicidal thoughts? You might be crushed by shame over your mental illness, only to be told by well-meaning Christians to “choose joy” and “pray more.” So you beg God to take away the pain, but nothing eases the ache inside. As darkness lingers and color drains from your world, you’re left wondering if God has abandoned you. You just want a way out. But there’s hope. In I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die, Sarah J. Robinson offers a healthy, practical, and shame-free guide for Christians struggling with mental illness. With unflinching honesty, Sarah shares her story of battling depression and fighting to stay alive despite toxic theology that made her afraid to seek help outside the church. Pairing her own story with scriptural insights, mental health research, and simple practices, Sarah helps you reconnect with the God who is present in our deepest anguish and discover that you are worth everything it takes to get better. Beautifully written and full of hard-won wisdom, I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die offers a path toward a rich, hope-filled life in Christ, even when healing doesn’t look like what you expect.

Indigo children are bright, intuitive, strong-willed, and sometimes self-destructive individuals. They are often labeled (and misdiagnosed) as having ADD or ADHD because they won’t comply with established rules and patterns; and they may exhibit behavioral problems at home and at school. In The Care and Feeding of Indigo Children, Doreen Virtue, Ph.D., explores the psyche of these special kids and offers alternative solutions to Ritalin based on her extensive research and interviews with child-care experts, teachers, parents, and the Indigo Children themselves. Read the accounts of these remarkable children as they explain why they act-out, are aggressive or withdrawn; and what they want from the adults in their lives. You’ll also be fascinated by the psychic experiences that these kids have had in their lives so far. This is a groundbreaking book that can positively affect the ways in which you interact with your child, altering the shape of their future in miraculous ways.

When I started my professional career I was told I was tenacious. I had to look up the definition. Determined or stubborn: tending to stick firmly to any decision, plan or opinion without changing or doubting it. The last few years I have been anything but tenacious. I tried one thing, if it didn't work, I immediately changed course and looked for another viable option. My heart goes out to parents who may find themselves in a similar situation. I had the background. I had resources. More than that, I had an undeniable fear. Fear that my kids would be lost in a world that didn't understand, nor WANTED to understand. Not everyone can function in our educational infrastructure and how dare anyone pass judgment and say they are inferior in any way. My lesson: to not be afraid of the mandates of this society. This is the true story of a mom, protecting her children, and learning that their true purpose is to not only protect me, but everything else as well. I am again tenacious; for all that is Indigo.
