The author had a near-death experience in 1971 and was given certain information to bring back with her to share with others. For the past 40 years she has been working in the field of death and dying as a spiritual counselor, hospice volunteer, and is the author of several books and a major NDE web site, Beyond the Veil. She recently created a training course to teach people to be Transition Guides for those who are getting ready to leave their bodies and return to their spiritual home -- according to their own beliefs. Her message is that we don't die, only our bodies die -- but we don't need them any more. Our consciousness survives the death of our body. We are beautiful spiritual beings of light on an eternal journey and shedding our skin is part of our spiritual growth and the evolution of consciousness. How to Die Consciously is a handbook for caregivers and patients offering a simple method of meditation and guided imagery practice of remembering who we really are while still in our body by practicing to die consciously before we die physically so that when we do, we are prepared and aware of what's happening when we find ourselves out of our body -- no matter how it died. This book is for every one because we are all, after all, going to die one day, but it is especially for anyone who has received a diagnosis of an illness that has even the slightest potential to cause death and for adult children caring for their aging parents. It will help you and your family have the conversations you need to have about end of life care, last wishes and quality of life and death. It will help the person leaving reconcile their life and prepare for a peaceful transition on their own terms. You'll find information about palliative and hospice care, final arrangements, and Death With Dignity laws. You'll delve into the subject of near-death experiences and the current research into the survival of consciousness, and the ancient mysteries that gave birth to our understanding of death and the afterlife. This is no ordinary book and it is guaranteed to change your life!

Diane Goble had a near-death experience in 1971 and received specific information to bring back with her to share with others. For the past 35 years she has been involved in the field of death and dying as a spiritual counselor and hospice volunteer, and is the author of several books, a blog "Let's talk about death and dying..." and a major NDE web site since 1996, BeyondtheVeil.net. She created a training course to teach paraprofessionals to be Transition Guides for those who are getting ready to leave their bodies and return to their spiritual home according to their own beliefs. Her message is that we don't die, only our bodies die but we don't need them any more. Our soul consciousness existed before we were born into a body and continues beyond the death of our body. We are beautiful spiritual beings of light on an eternal journey and shedding our skin is part of our spiritual growth and the evolution of consciousness. In "Beyond the Veil: Our Journey Home," Goble condensed her Transition Guide Training Program into this handbook for caregivers and patients. It offers a simple, non-denominational method of meditation and guided imagery practice to help us remember who we really are while still in our body. "By practicing to die consciously before we die physically," she says, "we are prepared and aware of what's happening when we find ourselves out of our body no matter how it died. This book is for every one because we are all, after all, going to make our transition one day, but it is especially germane to anyone who has received a terminal diagnosis and for adult children caring for their aging parents. It will help you and your family to have the conversations you need to have about end of life care and your last wishes. It will help the person leaving reconcile this life and prepare for a peaceful transition on their own terms. You'll find information about palliative and hospice care, final arrangements, and Death With Dignity laws. This is a book about life after death as provided to me through journaling and a series of extraordinary events by my wife, Suzette Delashmet Shockley, after her demise. When these events started to happen, I, having not known or even though about life after someone has passed was in disbelief. I researched and kept an open mind. Because of these happenings and my research, I now know that when a person loses a good friend, a spouse, a child, or other loving relationship, the deceased person can come through. The stronger the love vibrations, the easier and the stronger the connection between them will be. In shock and deep despair over the death of his beloved wife, Suzette Delashmet Shockley-Barcafer, Ward Barcafer struggled to live his life. But to his surprise, he began hearing Sue’s voice coming through to him from her life in Heaven! ... (Paula Lenz) This profound inner play from the light of love gives insight to the presence of heaven on earth and the continual expression of earth connection to what is called Heaven. The depth and breadth of their love is known as a harmonic love. ... (Dr. Patty Luckenbach) For those of a skeptical nature, the proof of life after death is undeniable. For those who are grieving, the intimacy and teachings are comforting. For those who are curious, these are remarkable stories. ... (Marcia Beachy) In this intimate journal of his experiences with Suzette and his spirit guides, Ward walks us through spirit to spirit connection and communication that has no barriers separating the earthly and ethereal realms. Suzette selflessly shares with us, through Ward, what life is like for a soul in Heaven ... (Dr. Ruth Anderson)

“Articulations and expressions of gender can be destabilising, transgressive, revolutionary and radical, encompassing both a painful legacy of oppression and a joyous exploration of new experience.” Analysing key texts from the 19th to 21st centuries, this book explores a range of British and Anglophone authors to contextualise women’s writing and feminist theory with ongoing debates in consciousness studies. Discussing writers who strive to redefine the gendered world of “sexualized” space, whether internal or external, mental or physical, this book argues how the “delusion” of gender difference can be addressed and challenged. In literary theory and in representations of the female body in literature, identity has increasingly become a shifting, multiple, renegotiable—and controversial—concept. While acknowledging historical and cultural constructions of sexuality, “writing the body” must ultimately incorporate knowledge of human consciousness. Here, an understanding of consciousness from contemporary science (especially quantum theory)—as the fundamental building block of existence, beyond the body—allows unique insights into literary texts to elucidate the problem of subjectivity and what it means to be human. Including discussion of topics such as feminism and androgyny, agency and entrapment, masculinities and masquerade, insanity and emotion, and individual and social empowerment, this study also creates a lively engagement with the literary process as a means of fathoming the “enigma” of consciousness. Daphne Grace is Professor of English, specializing in postcolonial and transnational literature, gender and women’s studies, in addition to British literature of the 19th to 21st centuries. She currently teaches at the University of the Bahamas, and has also previously taught at Sussex University, England, and Eastern Mediterranean University in Cyprus.

When Diane Goble started her first web site, A Near-Death Experience BeyondtheVeil.net, in 1996 about her own near-death experience, thousands of people, ages 16 to 95 from all over the world began emailing her and asking questions about NDEs, death & dying, fear about death, grief, reincarnation, suicide. This ebook is a collection of FAQs and Diane's responses from her near-death perspective.I didn't just almost die, I drowned. I surrendered to the raging river and found myself out of my body looking down at the scene below. I traveled to another dimension accompanied by a beautiful, loving Being of Light and was given information to bring back to help humanity with the evolution of consciousness as we become Divine Humans. Specifically, the message I brought back is that we don't die. The body dies, but the essence of who we are continues. We are eternal spiritual beings having temporary human experiences in physical worlds as part of our spiritual journey returning to the Source of our being. As we learn to live without fear of death, we become more loving and compassionate toward each other, all sentient beings and this beautiful planet.Over the 40 years since my NDE, I've become a deeply spiritual person. I believe all religions have some truth but none have all the truth. My answers to your questions are from my heart to open yours to Unconditional Love. Namaste!

Predicated upon the principles of political freedom, cultural openness, religious tolerance, individual self-reliance, and ethnic diversity, the United States of America has been tempted recurrently by the lures of the secret. American Secrets explores this political, historical, and cultural phenomenon from many, often surprisingly, overlapping angles in these analyses of the literary and cultural uses and abuses of secrecy within a democratic culture. Through analyses of diverse literary works andcultural manifestations-from Mark Twain's anti-imperialist prophecies to 9/11 conspiracy theories, from the traumas of the Vietnam war to the homophobia of the American military establishment, from the unresolved dilemmas of nuclear politics to the secret ecologies shunted aside by the exploitation of the environment, from the questionings of national identity on the ethnic and (trans)sexual margins to the confessional modes of poetry and the poetics of the unspeakable and unrepresentable-these essays reveal the politics within the poetics and, indissociably, the poetics fueling the politics of secrecy in its ambivalent deployment. Secrecy often seems to be a question without an answer or an answer that either seems to beg the question or to be a question itself. These essays address this paradox with their own questioning explorations. In answering such questions, the volume as a whole provides an illuminating overview of the pervasiveness of the secret and its modalities in American culture while alsodealing specifically with the poetics of the secret in its various, historically recurrent literary manifestations.

Why Were the Teachings of the Original Christians Brutally Suppressed by the Roman Church? • Because they portray Jesus and Mary Magdalene as mythic figures based on the Pagan Godman and Goddess • Because they show that the gospel story is a spiritual allegory encapsulating a profound philosophy that leads to mythical enlightenment • Because they have the power to turn the world inside out and transform life into an exploration of consciousness Drawing on modern scholarship, the authors of the international bestseller The Jesus Mysteries decode the secret teachings of the original Christians for the first time in almost two millennia and theorize about who the original Christians really were and what they actually taught. In addition, the book explores the many myths of Jesus and the Goddess and unlocks the lost secret teachings of Christian mysticism, which promise happiness and immortality to those who attain the state of Gnosis, or enlightenment. This daring and controversial book recovers the ancient wisdom of the original Christians and demonstrates its relevance to us today.
