Download High Tc Superconductors: Magnetic Interactions - Proceedings Of The Workshop Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
This Workshop addresses the role of magnetic interactions in the various aspects of high Tc superconducting materials, including the fundamental nature of the elementary excitations and their effect on the measured microscopic and macroscopic magnetic properties of these materials. Applications involving the magnetic behaviour of high Tc superconductors is a special feature of this Workshop.

Download High Tc Superconductors - Proceedings Of The 6th Annual Us-japan Workshop Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
The workshop focussed on issues related to Bulk Processing and Applications, Structure and Flux Pinning as well as Thin Films. These issues are currently very critical to the development of these superconductors.Fifty-two papers authored by researchers from the United States and Japan were presented at the workshop. They reflect the state of the field in high-Tc superconductors and the direction in which the technology in these superconductors is moving. The papers also make accessible to interested scientists and engineers extremely valuable information on the progress achieved in applications in recent years.

Download Lattice Effects In High Tc Superconductors - Proceedings Of The Conference Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
The focus of the workshop is the role of crystal lattices, i.e. atomic structure, phonons, lattice distortions, in the mechanism of high temperature superconductivity in oxides. In spite of the intense research effort during the last five years the mechanism of high temperature superconductivity still remains unknown. While earlier theories forcused primarily on the role of magnetic interaction, recent experimental results strongly suggest that anharmonic local atomic displacements, in particular those induced by charge carriers, are critically involved in creating high temperature superconductivity. In this workshop, experimentalists and theoreticians address this issue with the hope of stimulating real progress in this area.
