Is it possible your life doesnt end with your death, that youll live forever? Are heaven and hell real? Meet a man who stood outside heavens gates, longing to get in, and stood before the judgment seat of Christ, seeing the flames of hell, which shook him to core. The Bible says, Peoples are destined to die once, and after that to face judgement (Hebrews 9:27, NIV). The book in your hands is a true story of a former Hindu who stood before Jesus, awaiting his judgment to enter the beauty of heaven or the flames of hell. Over half of Americans believe in a literal heaven, in a literal hell. Most people who hold these beliefs are Christian and assume they are the age-old teachings of the Bible. Ehrman shows that eternal rewards and punishments are found nowhere in the Old Testament, and are not what Jesus or his disciples taught. He recounts the long history of the afterlife, ranging from The Epic of Gilgamesh up to the writings of Augustine, focusing especially on the teachings of Jesus and his early followers. Ehrman shows that competing views were intimately connected with the social, cultural, and historical worlds out of which they emerged. -- adapted from jacket

This is a story of what could have happend to the 39 members of Heaven's Gate shortly after exiting their earthly vehicles and bording a spacecraft cloaked inside the tail of the Hale-Bopp comet. As they awaken from transport sleep, Ti welcomes them aboard the Comet-craft Hale-Bopp. Confusion, awe, and wonder await the crew members as they travel throughout the galaxies on their journey to Planet Heaven and beyond. My story is a combination of different subjects: personal, Biblical, fact, and science fiction. A written memorial for the people of Heaven's Gate who gave up their lives for what they believed. Before you judge them, look inside your own heart and ask yourself this question: What would you be willing to die for - religion, freedom, country, honor or perhaps something else?

Visions of Hell... In A Divine Revelation of Hell, over a period of thirty nights, God gave Mary K. Baxter visions of hell and commissioned her to tell people still alive on earth to reject sin and evil, and to choose life in Christ. Here is an account of the place and beings of hell contrasted with the glories of heaven. Follow Mary in her supernatural journey as she enters with Jesus into a gateway to hell and encounters the sights, sounds, and smells of that dark place of torment, including its evil spirits, cells, pits, jaws, and heart. Be an eyewitness to the various punishments of lost souls and hear their shocking stories. This book is a reminder that each of us needs to accept the miracle of salvation before it is too late—and to intercede for those who do not yet know Christ. Time is running out.

Millions of Christians have struggled with how to reconcile God's love and God's judgment: Has God created billions of people over thousands of years only to select a few to go to heaven and everyone else to suffer forever in hell? Is this acceptable to God? How is this "good news"? Troubling questions—so troubling that many have lost their faith because of them. Others only whisper the questions to themselves, fearing or being taught that they might lose their faith and their church if they ask them out loud. But what if these questions trouble us for good reason? What if the story of heaven and hell we have been taught is not, in fact, what the Bible teaches? What if what Jesus meant by heaven, hell, and salvation are very different from how we have come to understand them? What if it is God who wants us to face these questions? Author, pastor, and innovative teacher Rob Bell presents a deeply biblical vision for rediscovering a richer, grander, truer, and more spiritually satisfying way of understanding heaven, hell, God, Jesus, salvation, and repentance. The result is the discovery that the "good news" is much, much better than we ever imagined. Love wins.

In 1898 Rebecca Ruter Springer had an experience that uniquely revealed to her heaven's beauty and splendor. Her subsequent book, originally titled Intra Muros, detailed this very imaginative and personal journey. Her own words best set the stage for this inspiring book: I am painfully aware that I can never adequately describe the scenes that appeared to me during those days. But if I can show at all how closely linked the two lives-temporal and eternal-appeared to me, I may be able to dispel some of the mystery and fear most of us feel about death, and show it to be simply an open door into a new and beautiful phase of life. Inside Heaven's Gates not only includes an updated text of the original work, but has been expanded to include: An introduction from Pastor Steve Berger, author of Between Heaven and Earth A special section that contains: oBiblical references that reveal God's Truth about heaven oThe five facts you need to know to get to heaven Inside Heaven's Gates will encourage you to dig deeper into Gods Word so you can discover all the glory of heaven for yourself. It's a book you'll want to read again and again.

When the wicked have traveled a course of sin, and discover they have reason to fear the God;s judgement and wrath for their sins, they begin to wish there is no God to punish them, then by degrees they persuade themselves there is no God, and then they set themselves to study the arguments to support their opinion. This excellent book by John Bunyan covers the subject matter of the existence of heaven and hell as well as studies and dispells the arguments presented by sinners who argue there is no heaven and hell. Most do not know that Bunyan wrote some 60 books, and poetry too. And also almost a well-kept secret is that his doctrine was so biblically laced that many good men would call him too severe. He believed in, and taught, ALL the doctrines of grace, including double-predestination, or reprobation. Why then is he not smeared with the name of hyper-Calvinist like Goodwin, Gill, and others? I guess the same people ought to call Luther a hyper-Lutheran, for he believed and taught it, too. Why begin a review of Bunyan's writings with such a view of his doctrine? It is to show that a Pilgrim's Progress can come only from someone who believes and teaches ALL the counsel of God, without flinching, yea, with loving-kindness. Illegally, He sat in a jail cell over a river for 12 years with his Bible, Galatians by Luther, and another book or two. He had the choice of feeling miserable and murmuring, or of filling his time, thoughts, and energies with studying that Bible, and seeking a way to be of help to his more comfortable, but less dedicated, brothers and sisters. Listen, dear saints, you can't do any better than reading Bunyan. Like Gurnall, he covers everything here and there, and with a sweetness that can come only from God. What a shame that his large heart should be encased in such small print. But, like digging gold, it is worth the time and trouble to dig spiritual gold. Bunyan (1628-1688) rose from an humble beginning to being a preacher to a little house church, to 12 years in jail because he would not agree to quit preaching, to a huge church in London. He wrote 66 books, nearly all while in jail.
