Thomas Emerson (ca.1572-1661) married Margaret Froe, and three of their ten children--Elizabeth (b.1616), Michael (b.1627), Robert (b.1629)-- immigrated from England to Massachusetts. Michael settled at Haverhill, and Robert later joined him there (moving from Rowley). Descendants lived in New England, New York, Ohio, Iowa, Missouri and elsewhere.

EpHRAiM3 Emerson (Stephen, Robert1), born at Haverhill May 29, 1707; married Eunice Marshall. She was received to the North Parish Church of Haverhill (Plaistow, N. H.), October 2, 1763. He was one of the signers to a petition for privileges in Plaistow in 1764. Was a cordwainer. With his wife Eunice sold land in Haverhill in 1732. Sold land in Plaistow in 1769. Children: i.
