Unlike Planetary Harmonics this is not a continuation of Pesavento's previous books. In Harmonic Vibrations, he deals with planetary aspects and their relationship to day trading. He takes you to the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange with wave trading techniques such as a geometric trading plan based on George Bayer's "secret message", "Combust", one of the most important astro-harmonic cycles in soybeans and the "Rosh Hashanah Cycle". Shows how to use the harmonic vibration technique in real-time trading. The three most important elements of these cycles include proportionality, harmonicity, and synchronicity. This book is rich with charted examples of short-term patterns.

Lissajous Figures are produced by combining two oscillations at right angles to each other. The figures, drawn by mechanical devices called Harmonographs, have scientific uses, but are also enjoyed for their own beauty. The author has been working with harmonographs since his undergraduate days, has built several of them, lectured about them and has written articles about them. This book is intended for people who enjoy physics or art or both. Certainly physics professionals, both students and faculty members, will enjoy reading about an interesting byway of physics. The book is mainly designed for the reader who has some scientific literacy, but who may not be a scientist. If your mathematics is rusty, a preliminary section on mathematics supplies the necessary background for reading the rest of the book.

Despite their apparent simplicity, the behaviour of pendulums can be remarkably complicated. Historically, pendulums for specific purposes have been developed using a combination of simplified theory and trial and error. There do not appear to be any introductory books on pendulums, written at an intermediate level, and covering a wide range of topics. This book aims to fill the gap. It is written for readers with some background in elementary geometry, algebra, trigonometry and calculus. Historical information, where available and useful for the understanding of various types of pendulum and their applications, is included. Perhaps the best known use of pendulums is as the basis of clocks in which a pendulum controls the rate at which the clock runs. Interest in theoretical and practical aspects of pendulums, as applied to clocks, goes back more than four centuries. The concept of simple pendulums, which are idealised versions of real pendulums is introduced. The application of pendulums to clocks is described, with detailed discussion of the effect of inevitable differences between real pendulums and simple pendulums. In a clock, the objective is to ensure that the pendulum controls the timekeeping. However, pendulums are sometimes driven, and how this affects their behaviour is described. Pendulums are sometimes used for occult purposes. It is possible to explain some apparently occult results by using modern pendulum theory. For example, why a ring suspended inside a wine glass, by a thread from a finger, eventually strikes the glass. Pendulums have a wide range of uses in scientific instruments, engineering, and entertainment. Some examples are given as case studies. Indexed in the Book Citation Index– Science (BKCI-S)

The subject matter is divided into twelve chapters. Each chapter is self-contained and is treated in a comprehensive way, using the S.I. system of units. Harmonic Oscillators, Linearity and Superposition Principle, Oscillations with One Degree of Freedom, Resonance and Sharpness of Resonance, Quality Factor, Doppler Effect in Sound and Light, Medical Applications of Ultrasonics, Acoustic Intensity, Acoustic Measurements, Wave Velocity and Group Velocity, Maxwell’s Equations, Propagation of Electromagnetic Waves in Isotropic Media, De Broglie Waves, Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle and Special Theory of Relatively are some of the important topics which have been given special attention. Solved numerical problems, wherever necessary, are given in the text and in the exercises at the end of each chapter. The book is intended to be a textbook for the undergraduate students of Indian universities.
