This book is a collection of passages, rites, practices, and rituals from various famous Grimoires. It is a cluster of the most obscure and powerful invocations, ceremonies, and pacts, and it explains their history and origins while it refutes certain myths surrounding Ancient Grimoires, and discusses the theology therein. Originally written by Arthur Edward Waite, as an attempt to synthesize many famous Grimoires into one system, it was first published with the title "The Book of Black Magic and of Pacts" in 1898 in a limited run, until it was republished with the title "The Book of Ceremonial Magic" in 1910. Through the years, and the countless scans and re-prints of the original, the images that were circulating in modern publications were "corrupted" to the point of becoming hard to distinguish and their text illegible. Until now! The illustrations in this book come from enhanced scans of the original seals, symbols, and artwork. The scans have been enlarged, traced and painted over by hand and then re-scanned in order to improve the texture and make the lines and letters more legible. Finally, the images in this publication have been placed on the pages on a larger format (original size) so they can be recognised, read, and copied easily, in order to make this Grimoire functional.

The promise of magick is both simple and extraordinary: it is that magick can support you in any aspect of life, from helping you succeed in everyday tasks to enabling you to achieve your most cherished dreams. What’s more, you don’t even have to believe in magick to make it work. The only thing that’s required is regular practice—and the easiest way to practice is to make magickal rituals part of your daily life. With Ritual: An Essential Grimoire, magicians Damien Echols and Lorri Davis share a broad selection of their most effective rituals, meditations, and prayers—presented in terms accessible to all. “You won’t find a lot of arcane terminology or lengthy ceremonies here,” says Damien. “What you will find are simple practices to develop your own connection to the energy and intelligence of the universe.” Here you’ll discover: • Essential breath and concentration techniques for working with subtle energy • Grounding practices to cleanse your body and environment from stagnant energies or thoughts • Everyday meditations for improving sleep and dreams, blessing food, inviting abundance, and more • On-the-spot practices that include invoking protection, relieving pain and anxiety, and seeing goodness in difficult situations • Methods to amplify and reinforce your ritual work with talismans, celestial forces, and angel magick • How ritual work can advance your spiritual evolution and openness to divine guidance • Moving stories from Damien and Lorri about how magick changed their lives—and how it can change yours Damien and Lorri learned magick to help them get through the most trying times—to help free Damien from his wrongful incarceration, then to help both of them heal from the traumatic aftereffects of his imprisonment. “Many of these rituals are the very same we used to rebuild our lives,” Lorri says. “We share these practices in the hopes that you will use them to survive, thrive, and create the life you desire.”

The magickal methods and esoteric knowledge of medieval Europe (476 to 1453 C.E.) form the ancestral backbone of modern ceremonial magick. To understand medieval magick, it's necessary to know the primary repositories of this knowledge--the grimoires of spells, incantations, and ritual instructions for working with angels and conjuring spirits. And to understand the grimoires, you must delve into the life and times of the magicians who wrote them. Scholar and magician Aaron Leitch sheds light upon the greatly misunderstood subject of the medieval mage in this comprehensive reference manual. In addition, he provides valuable comparisons among the magical practices described in the grimoires and various shamanic methods of working with the spirit world.

The Book of Ceremonial Magic is famous as one of the first attempts to document various famous grimoires and other magic texts. In this work, Waite pays much attention to the history of magic texts, refuting many of their legends. He also raises a question of the relations between magic and theology. He discusses these issues in particular examples, like raising the question of why good angels would be summoned to kill an enemy. Another merit of this work is synthesizing many famous grimoires into one system.
