Unique in its biblical approach to recovery, the Grace Overcomers Addiction Ministry provides deep insight and understanding to the ministry of addiction. It is written by and for the victorious in Jesus Christ, a testimony to their real life experiences and how they overcame addiction through the grace of God. It has been said, 'Nobody cares how much you know, until they know how much you care.' Pastor Dan Lightsey, in writing Grace Overcomers Addiction Ministry, qualifies both in his Christlike compassion as well as his understanding and keen insight for those that struggle with addiction. For all those that wrestle in the valley of trouble, this book will open a door of hope. Jesus said he came to deliver and set free the captives; Pastor Dan Lightsey's book will help to do just that. —Pastor John Love, chaplain to the NBA's New York Knicks Dan Lightsey's book reveals to each addict, no matter what persuasion or tendency, the ability to acknowledge God's forgiveness, which in turn allows us to forgive ourselves. Further, he has provided a support framework which allows the addict compassion and insight to progress in the real world. A wonderful approach to recovery! —Donald L. Henderson, R.Ph.

The purpose for The Overcomers is to impart illumination, revelation, truth, and inspiration to believers in these end times concerning the Godly attributes and character traits that make believers the overcomers Christ desires us to be. We analyze in this book all things from a Biblical perspective. We focus on Christ's great redemption. He paid the price to redeem lost humanity with His own blood! We emphasize that overcomers praise God during all times, regardless of circumstances, problems, or tragedy. We examine how overcomers contend for the faith for you cannot be an overcomer if you fail to fight! There are rewards and blessings reserved for the overcomers in eternity. God has appointed times and seasons when He releases His favor, goodness, peace, and prosperity in our lives during our time here on earth. Christ Jesus is our perfect example and the One we pattern our lives and ministries after! James was supernaturally delivered from drugs and alcohol. He graduated from Christ for the Nations Institute in 1999. There he received his minister's license and went on a missions trip to Israel. James also attended Dallas Baptist University. Finally, James was ordained in January 2003 at Body of Christ Church in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and ministers the Word of God with boldness, passion, authority, and clarity. For speaking and ministry engagements, please contact Minister James Britton at: P.O. Box 153876 Irving, Texas 75015-3876

Are you ready to live fully prepared and fully equipped to handle anything life throws at you? As Christians, we can be courageous and confident, knowing that God has placed us in human history for His purposes, and He will empower us regardless of our circumstances. Drawing on the book of Revelation and historical examples, The Overcomers will put steel in the spines of believers and remind them of the fierce, conquering, commanding authority of God over all the earth. You were made for this exact moment in human history. Things may look gloomy, and you may feel discouraged, but because of the promise and hope found in Scripture, you can be brave, confident, and victorious today! In The Overcomers, Matt Chandler reminds readers that they don't have to be anxious or afraid of anything in the present or in the future because both have already been won. We are not victims but overcomers—and we are a key part of what God is working out in our day. God is at work in the mess, just as He has always been, and He continues to accomplish His purpose of seeking and saving the lost. In this book, believers will: Find courage and confidence from fellow believers who have gone before us. Feel empowered as God reminds them of His promises fulfilled and yet to come. Understand the strategies, tactics, and deceptions Satan uses to try to keep us paralyzed with anxiety and fear. Learn to live a victorious Christian life marked by the power and presence of God. The apostle John wrote his letter to a certain group of people in a particular place at a specific time. Although it was written to them, it was also written for us. The Overcomers takes a chapter-by-chapter view of Revelation rather than a line-by-line deep dive, helping readers practically understand what God wants to say to us today through this extraordinary book written thousands of years ago. Believers will be reminded that they are uniquely wired and uniquely placed in this moment in history as part of God's big plan to push back darkness and to establish light. Christ has overcome, and in Him we, too, are the overcomers!

Grace Overcomers Addiction Minstry, founded on the "Finished Work" of Jesus Christ, is a unique book that adresses addictions from a purely biblical perspective. Using a sound doctrinal premise to guide us, we have produced a primer that is an able tool in the hands of the pastor/teacher in the local assembly, the professor in the seminary, and the many students that will have questions regarding the issues of addiction. In addition to the above, it is most valuable in the hands of the person who struggles in this area. The book is set up in a simple format of Seven Guiding Principles and Seven Governing Precepts. The Fifteen Foundational Bedrocks; doctrines that when applied to ones life will transform the soul. There are eleven testimonies in the book that bear this out. It tells why the 12-step model, even though it may be Christ centered, can only take one so far on the road to recovery. It is loaded with scriptural citations and Bible commentary. Used by Prison Chaplain David Stambovsky, he says "The book is vital for raising men out of the dunghill and showing them their great value and potential in God's plan for their lives." Pastor Thomas Schaller adds, "Study the elements presented in this book. Testimonies of these believers smack of the genuine transformation that is available to all of us. I particularly enjoyed the chapter on "The Role of the Local Church in the Recovery From Addiction."
