At American River College, some students with learning disabilities (LD) and/or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) lack sufficient knowledge about financial aid. There is not a financial aid presentation containing an overview of financial aid. Furthermore, step-by-step instructional guides on how to apply for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and Board of Governors (BOG) Fee Waiver, and a scholarship resource guide for students with disabilities are not available. The research sources gathered for this project included literature in peer-reviewed journals and articles, manuals, reports, personal communications with relevant staff and personnel, and organization, government, and education websites. A financial aid presentation was created for students with LD and/or ADHD at ARC providing them with an overview of financial aid. Step-by-step instructional guides on how to apply for the 2014-2015 FAFSA and the 2014-2015 BOG Fee Waiver were also developed. To conclude, a scholarship resource guide for students with disabilities was developed.
