With the name of Georgia and the calling to go the Amazon Jungle, who, but God could have put that together? Georgia did become ?Georgia of the Jungle!? in this book full of examples of how an all-knowing God can orchestrate a person's life to fulfill the purpose for which it was created. In this instance, it was the life of author, Georgia Egge. Many illustrations of seeing God work first-hand fill the pages with the supernatural intervention of a God who is never late. The reader will come to understand that God will use anyone willing to step out in His calling. His divine protection and direction is demonstrated in many of the experiences that Georgia went through to reach remote places with the Gospel. She shares many character-shaping lessons learned through surrendering to the Holy Spirit and yielding her will to the Father?s. Leaving all behind to do the work of the ministry, she endures hardship like a good soldier and sees the glory of God revealed. ?George of the Jungle: is a must-read for those who love mission work, those considering ministry, or any believer, or (non-believer), who wants a true?life glimpse of the miraculous power of love at work in the most challenging of settings and circumstances.

Georgia is having a hard time. A really hard time. Her best friend, Sienna, has passed away. She's shutting down in school, ignoring texts from her friends, and won't even eat her Chicken Alfredo (her favorite!) for dinner. Her mother knows she's hurting and takes her to an overnight at the zoo to cheer her up. That night, the zoo animals visit her in a dream and talk to her about their experience with loss. Can these thoughtful animals help Georgia open up about her grief and start to find a path forward? The authors of this story are part of an innovative program run by Reach Incorporated. This is the first of four stories I wrote for my grandsons Dylan and Kemper while they were students at the Montessori School of Rome in Georgia. Their mother, Miss Dolores, was a school teacher there. She read this story to her class as a treat to her young students who heard Dylan boast that his Papa wrote a story for him. This story about teasing, bullying, jealousy and showing off in a school environment became a huge success, not only with the students, but also with their parents who started wondering about what Miss Dolores was teaching them. The students got their parents involved at home by asking them to pronounce words the way a snake would with their tongues sticking out of their mouths. They also loved the story once my daughter shared it with them. I took the liberty to call the school the Monkeyssori School. They liked that name also. I hope that you and your children will enjoy reading about what is happening in this jungle school.

Houses for All is the story of the struggle for social housingin Vancouver between 1919 and 1950. It argues that, however temporaryor limited their achievements, local activists pplayed a significantrole in the introduction, implementation, or continuation of many earlynational housing programs. Ottawa's housing initiatives were notalways unilateral actions in the development of the welfare state. Thedrive for social housing in Vancouver complemented the tradition ofhousing activism that already existed in the United Kingdom and, to alesser degree, in the United States.
