The debut novel about the life-changing choices we make about careers, love, friendship, and motherhood from bestselling UK author Emma Gannon. Olive is many things. Independent. Driven. Loyal. And a little bit adrift. She’s okay with still figuring it all out, navigating her world without a compass. But life comes with expectations and big choices to be made. So when her best friends’ lives branch away towards marriage and motherhood, leaving the path they’ve always followed together, she starts to question her choices—because life according to Olive looks a little bit different. Moving, memorable, and a mirror for anyone at a crossroads, OLIVE has a little bit of all of us. Told with humor and great warmth, this is a modern tale about the obstacle course of adulthood and the challenges of having—and deciding not to have—children.

Texas was a vast, lawless frontier after the Civil War...Gunslingers rode roughshod over scarce, often corrupt, lawmen. Into this Texas rode young Jake Gannon, a tough but peaceable man from Kentucky, skilled in tracking and shooting, who dreamed only of a ranch of his own. Outlaws shattered his new life; his brother was ambushed by a crooked marshal. But the last straw was when his beloved 16-year-old fiancee was raped and murdered. Now Jake Gannon turns bounty hunter, tracking down the killers one by one, and making them wish they'd never been born, in Doug Bowman's Gannon. “A dreamy charmer of a book, full of clever wordplay that practically demands it be read out loud.”—New York Times Have you ever wanted to hold a little piece of the impossible? Lavishly illustrated in full color, The Doldrums is an extraordinary debut about friendship, imagination, and the yearning for adventure from author-artist Nicholas Gannon. A modern classic in the making, The Doldrums is for readers of inventive and timeless authors such as Brian Selznick and Lemony Snicket. Archer B. Helmsley wants an adventure. No, he needs an adventure. His grandparents were famous explorers . . . until they got stuck on an iceberg. Now Archer’s mother barely lets him out of the house. As if that would stop a true Helmsley. Archer enlists Adelaide—the girl who, according to rumor, lost her leg to a crocodile—and Oliver—the boy next door—to help him rescue his grandparents. The Doldrums whisks us off on an adventure full of sly humor, incredible detail, and enormous heart. With approximately twenty pieces of breathtaking full-color artwork, as well as black-and-white spot illustrations, and gorgeous, literary writing, Nicholas Gannon proves himself to be a distinctive new voice with his middle grade debut. Be in it for the limitless imagination. For the characters who capture your heart. For the rich world you’ll want to settle into. But most of all, be in it for the friendship. That, after all, is the true adventure.

In 1933, Bishop John Mark Gannon founded Cathedral College to give the boys of Erie, Pennsylvania, a chance for a better life. Initially a branch campus of Villa Maria College, which it would merge with 56 years later, the community college moved from a dilapidated building next to the bishop's residence in 1941 to one of the most elegant structures in downtown Erie, the Strong Mansion. The school was then renamed the Gannon School of Arts and Science. Three years later, the school began awarding bachelor's degrees and became Gannon College. Today, Gannon University is a highly ranked liberal arts university that offers nearly 100 undergraduate and graduate degrees to students from around the world. Gannon has been a prominent feature in downtown Erie for more than 80 years, and in 2015, another city became a part of Gannon history with the opening of the university's first branch campus in Ruskin, Florida.

"Kevin Gannon asks that the contemporary university's manifold problems be approached as opportunities for critical engagement, arguing that, when done effectively, teaching is by definition emancipatory and hopeful. Considering individual pedagogical practice, the students who are teaching's primary audience and beneficiaries, and the institutions and systems within which teaching occurs, Radical Hope surveys the field, tackling everything from imposter syndrome to cellphones in class to allegations of a campus "free speech crisis"--
