Through daily affirmations and Biblical lessons, it is a reminder of God's unwavering love for us and the power of our love for each other. Leah Huggins is passionate about individuals knowing and understanding if they are alive and breathing, they have a purpose. After volunteering and pivoting back and forth between corporate America and the nonprofit sector, Leah chose to further her career by committing to serving the unsheltered and underprivileged. She is active in her church and prays diligently that everyone will come into the full knowledge of who Jesus is, embrace God's plan for their life, and walk according to the Holy Spirit's leading. Leah is the only daughter of Rev. Leonard and Dearie Huggins and lives in Georgia.

This book was designed as a Daily Affirmation tool. I suggest that you select one each day, at random and you might find that it is the right one for whatever situation you are experiencing on that very day. When it comes to prayer and our quiet time with God, most of us simply want to talk -- to tell God about all of our hopes, desires, painful hurts and sorrows. While God desperately wants to hear from us, once in a great while someone comes along to remind us again that more of our time with God should be spent listening rather than talking. Agnes Davis has accomplished that in From Gods Mouth to My Ears. What a gift she has provided to us as she shares her deepest moments with God! I have found these brief devotionals to be uplifting, encouraging, and challenging. This is a much needed work that many of us have searched for for a long time. Rev. Joe A. Walker

The pages of my book tell not only of my journey, but also of the journeys of those that have crossed my path along the road of life. Each poem presented tells a unique story --stories of great pain, suffering, and disappointment; stories of magnificent joy, peace, and triumph. I ask you to pause and reflect as you read each poem, and follow the road that has led me to where I am today. Many of the poems included were written years ago and describe times that are no more. They were included for a specific reason: to help someone going through similar times today to find peace. Others were written quite recently and speak of modern-day events and challenges. It is my thought that others will find themselves embedded in these works as well. Some are quite personal and deal solely with my experiences, thoughts, beliefs, life, and times. Others are written through the eyes of those around me, as I allowed myself to craft words to imagine and describe the thoughts and feelings of others. All were written with great emotion, time, energy, and care. I pray that all poems touch readers in ways that bring peace and encourage love.

Is it possible for a person to hear the voice of God? This is not a strange phenomenon. The Bible records how men, women, and children experienced a deep personal walk with a living God. He is not a God of the dead but of the living. The Bible teaches that the Spirit of God lives inside of every born-again believer. (John 14:16-17) From God's Lips to My Ears is a book of conversations from a Living God to one of His children. In this book, readers will have the opportunity to sit with the author and her Lord and hear the gracious words fall from His lips.

Paul's use of Deuteronomy 30 in Romans 10 has puzzled interpreters and led to many divergent readings. In this book, Smothers argues that what Paul has found in Deuteronomy 30:11-14 is a prophetic promise of righteousness which he declares fulfilled in the gospel of the Lord Jesus, the message of the righteousness of faith. By quoting Deuteronomy 30:12-14 in Romans 10 as the content of the message of the righteousness of faith over against Leviticus 18:5 and the righteousness of the law in Romans 10:5-8, Paul proclaims a promise fulfilled in accord with the original meaning of the text written by Moses in Deuteronomy. More precisely, Paul reads Deuteronomy 30:11-14 as an extension of the reality foretold in Deuteronomy 30:1-10, which points forward to the new covenant experience of faith-empowered obedience, or heart circumcision, which includes the internalization of the word of God--the eschatological torah--by the Spirit of God.

Did you know that God's ears are tuned to a particular sound? Were you aware that his eyes are scanning the horizon for a specific sight? What is it that he is listening and looking for? In ""What Are God's Ears Tuned To,"" David W. Palmer helps us sit at Jesus's feet and understand what He revealed about His Father's heart. By placing two complete chapters of the Gospel into context, David shows how our Lord and Teacher weaves layer upon layer of revelation into his everyday stories. As a result, we can align our objectives to God's objectives, and invest our efforts and resources into what he sees as wise. "I believe this book can help all Christians gain the understanding, motivation and grace needed to tune our hearing to what God is listening for." -David W. Palmer
