Great thinking + Great action = Extraordinary Results. The rules have changed. The old strategies of hard work, fitting in, and loyalty no longer guarantee a secure and shiny future. In this inspiring book, Laura B. Fortgang reveals that the most powerful currency today is a deep and unwavering awareness of one's inherent worth and potential. The Prosperity Plan offers a simple and clear approach to building financial and emotional security. According to Fortgang, in order to obtain wealth and happiness we need to become receptive to all the world has in store for us. We must build lives outside of the "norm," always reaching for our own unique good versus some cookie- cutter version of what we thought our lives "should" or "could" be. A step-by-step guide to creating the circumstances by which great luck can find you, this book illustrates how to: *Recognize possibility *Create opportunity *Achieve financial and emotional well-being *Discover your true worth *Make more money by being more YOU *Master the art of making things happen The ten steps in The Prosperity Plan will show you how to beat the odds and prosper in ways you never dreamed possible!

"Based on a ... workshop, this book offers an interactive ... plan for women who want to take control of their finances and feel secure about the things that matter most to them. Too often, financial advice jumps right to the minutiae of investments, skipping over the deeper questions of what people really want from their money, both now and in the future. Ellen Rogin and Lisa Kueng teach their clients and workshop audiences to do the opposite"--

"This is a proposal for a short book (of around 50,000 words) that speaks directly to the state we are in. The populist insurgency on both sides of the Atlantic and in Europe has deep roots in decades of mismanagement of economic and cultural change and as a result there are large groups of people who feel they no longer belong to the societies they live in, the disinfranchised, the left behind. The appeal of the anti-liberal populists who have emerged is that they convince those who feel left behind that national leaders are no longer working in their interests hence the rhetoric of 'putting America first' and 'making America great again' or the Brexiteers claining that they are 'taking back control.' In undemocractic regimes elsewhere populists play on people's feelings of insecurity in an unpredictable and fast changing world, promising security and order in exchange for democratic freedom. Liberal openness has been put on the defensive so it is up to us, electorates, politicians and policy makers, to show how an open and liberal economic system can once again belong to everyone. In the second part of the book Martin Sandbu outlines four key areas of economic policy that he believes will address not just the symptoms but the underlying causes of the current inequality which has led to so many people, especially the young and the most vulnerable being left behind. These include productivity, regional development, improved access to business finance for SMEs, and increaed representation for workers. He makes a number of other recommendaitons regarding housing, education for all, universal basic income and taxation. He concludes by saying that while these proposals add up to a radical package in total they are necessary reforms to ensure a sense of belonging and without them we could be opening the door to a radicalism which is both illiberal and undemocratic"--

Whether you’re in retirement, just getting ready to retire, or 5, 10, or 40 years out, this book can help you invest smarter your whole life and yes, plan better for retirement. Harmful mythology abounds about retirement investing. Many retirees or soon-to-be retirees have heard a plethora of advice. Take 100 (or 120) and subtract your age to get your equity allocation, put the rest in bonds or cash. Buy only bonds. Buy only high dividend stocks. Or some combination! Buy equity-indexed annuities or some “guaranteed” income product. All examples of a potentially harmful myth many folks believe to be smart, strategic moves. Investors believe preparing for retirement requires a radically different set of tools or a dizzying array of products. Navigating the world of retirement products and services can be a full-time job. But investing for retirement is, in practice, not much (if at all) different from investing. In Your Retirement Plan, Ken Fisher will give readers a workable strategy to either develop their own retirement investing plan or work more successfully with a professional to increase the likelihood of achieving long-term goals while avoiding common pitfalls. The book will include easy-to-follow steps like How to think, correctly, about investing time horizon. How to better figure how much income you need How to determine if a portfolio can provide that income How to figure how much to save each year to achieve retirement goals What pitfalls to avoid And more. . . . In this retirement planning book that's not just for retirees, Fisher will hand readers the tools and confidence they need to better plan for the future.

Robinson lights the path to prosperity by showing her readers how to access their true dreams and passions and how to tap into their personal wells of abundance. Refreshingly down to earth and rich with humor, compassion, and compelling tales of success, Real Prosperity points its readers to financial and spiritual prosperity with sage advice, true stories, inspirational quotes, and quick, practical exercises that add a valuable "how to" factor not often found in this genre. At a time when Americans are sinking into a quagmire of debt and the deeper meaning of life seems to elude even the well off, this wonderful new book offers relief and promises to help its readers chart a course to a richer, more abundant life. This is not a get-rich-quick or pray-your-way-to-wealth book. Nor is it a book about financial planning and debt reduction. This study reveals how our monetary system reinforces scarcity, and how communities are already using new paradigms to foster sustainable prosperity. In the United States and across Europe, our economies are stuck in an agonizing cycle of repeated financial meltdowns. Yet solutions already exist, not only our recurring fiscal crises but our ongoing social and ecological debacles as well. These changes came about not through increased conventional taxation, enlightened self-interest, or government programs, but by people simply rethinking the concept of money. In Rethinking Money, Bernard Lietaer and Jacqui Dunne explore the origins of our current monetary system—built on bank debt and scarcity—revealing how its limitations give rise to so many serious problems. The authors then present stories of ordinary people and communities using new money, working in cooperation with national currencies, to strengthen local economies, create work, beautify cities, provide education, and more. These real-world examples are just the tip of the iceberg—over four thousand cooperative currencies are already in existence. The book provides remedies for challenges faced by governments, businesses, nonprofits, local communities, and even banks. It demystifies a complex and critically important topic and offers meaningful solutions that will do far more than restore prosperity—it will provide the framework for an era of sustainable abundance.
