Download Forward-Looking Statement and Corporate Future Performance ----Based on Text Mining and Machine Learning Technology Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
This paper analyzes the usefulness of the forward-looking information disclosed in the annual report based on the 2011-2016 financial report of listed companies. We construct a new forward-looking information disclosure index based on the forward-looking information in the annual report environment obtained through the Word2Vec machine learning technology and the word frequency of all the words calculated by the natural language processing and text analysis. Our results show that the level of forward-looking information disclosure is positively correlated with the company's future performance. Further research indicates that the stronger the readability of the company's annual report is, the stronger the relationship between forward-looking information and the company's future performance will be. And the relationship between forward-looking information and the company's future performance is more concentrated on firms with high information asymmetry. Besides, subsequent evidence finds that forward-looking information can effectively inhibit the opacity of the company's financial information, especially the company's positive earnings manipulation, thus further confirming the usefulness of forward-looking information.

Download Systems and Systems Thinking Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
The purpose of this book is to augment a basic reference to define and evaluate the phenomena and events in the world and to perceive them with a system perspective. Nurturing this reference point with the extend of different scientific disciplines would support its explanation and identification ability. In this book, we tried to substantiate this argument by ligurating different disciplines that make up the system view. In the first part of the book, we tried to define the formation of systems thinking within philosophy and logic. In the following parts, we have defined the forms of system thinking, the basic tools and the usage areas of these tools. We worked on practical applications possible in the departments and an exemplary place for these applications. The target audience of this book is people who are curious about understanding the world from all areas. We hope that the book will help the reader perceive the world as a system and help view complex systems vitally. The information provided by the authors with all kinds of selection experience and academic background has been carefully selected to bring the reader to this goal. Good readings...

Download Innovative Topologies and Algorithms for Neural Networks Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
The introduction of new topologies and training procedures to deep neural networks has solicited a renewed interest in the field of neural computation. The use of deep structures has significantly improved state-of-the-art applications in many fields, such as computer vision, speech and text processing, medical applications, and IoT (Internet of Things). The probability of a successful outcome from a neural network is linked to selection of an appropriate network architecture and training algorithm. Accordingly, much of the recent research on neural networks has been devoted to the study and proposal of novel architectures, including solutions tailored to specific problems. This book gives significant contributions to the above-mentioned fields by merging theoretical aspects and relevant applications.

Download Artificial Intelligence And Beyond For Finance Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
We wrote this book to help financial experts and investors to understand the state of the art of artificial intelligence and machine learning in finance. But first, what is artificial intelligence? The foundations of artificial intelligence lie in the human desire to automate. Often this desire has had foundations in grand civilization-defining visions or economic needs, such as the Antikythera mechanism, circa 200 BCE. Considered to be the oldest known example of an analog computer, it is thought that the mechanism automated the prediction of the positions of the sun, the moon, and the planets to assist in navigation. No matter the specific industry or application, AI has become a new engine of growth. Both finance and banking have been leveraging AI technologies and algorithms, applying them to automate routine tasks, procedures and forecasting, thereby improving overall customer experience. The topics covered in this book make it an invaluable resource for academics, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners alike who want to understand how AI has affected the banking and financial industries and how it will continue to change them in the years to come.

Download Artificial Intelligence in Asset Management Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
Artificial intelligence (AI) has grown in presence in asset management and has revolutionized the sector in many ways. It has improved portfolio management, trading, and risk management practices by increasing efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. In particular, AI techniques help construct portfolios based on more accurate risk and return forecasts and more complex constraints. Trading algorithms use AI to devise novel trading signals and execute trades with lower transaction costs. AI also improves risk modeling and forecasting by generating insights from new data sources. Finally, robo-advisors owe a large part of their success to AI techniques. Yet the use of AI can also create new risks and challenges, such as those resulting from model opacity, complexity, and reliance on data integrity.
