This report is a study proposal to produce environmental assessments for the proposed Northwest Alaskan Gas Pipeline (here called Northwest Alaskan Natural Gas Pipeline). It addresses research considered essential for biologists from state and federal agencies and industry to produce data on fish, wildlife, and their habitats for the purpose of habitat protection in the event of natural gas pipeline construction. The agencies are: Alaska Dept. of Fish and Game, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, National Marine Fisheries Service, U.S. Alaska Pipeline Office, University of Alaska, and Woodward-Clyde. The Executive Coordinating Committee (along with the Federal Inspector) is directed by the Executive Policy Board. The Interagency Fish and Wildlife Task Force in an advisory body (made up of members from five of those agencies) to the Committee that carries out the research plans.
