The objectives of this study are twofold. The first objective is to prepare a Fire Prevention and Control Master Plan for a small community; including the selection of the proper planning guide for the community and the involvement of the community. The second objective is to analyze the feasibility of using students who are currently enrolled in Fire Science, Fire Protection Engineering, and other fire-related college degree programs, as Master Planning Team Leaders in the preparation of Fire Prevention and Control Master Plans in small communities. It was essential to prepare an actual Fire Prevention and Control Master Plan in order to determine whether the students have the necessary background, experience, and resources to prepare the plan.
