This 2-Volume Series is an attempt to guide those who want to understand the language of the Qur'an and read it with comprehension. This first volume guides the student in a step-wise progression to learn the fundamentals of Qur'anic grammar. The methodology of this book is different from others in that conversational Arabic and non-Qur'anic vocabulary are not emphasized. Instead, there is a keen focus on mastering key grammar principles alongside "high-yield" Qur'anic vocabulary. Numerous examples are used from the Qur'an. This textbook is also being used by the International Open University for its Diploma Courses in Quranic Arabic. Altogether, this will Insha Allah enable them to better understand and experience the Lofty and Majestic Words of Allah Almighty.

An English Translation of Nahw Meer for the student of Arabic Grammar by Meer Syed Shareef Abul Hasan Bin Mohammed Al-Jurjani (RA). Ilm un Nahw is that science which teaches us how to join Nouns, Verbs and Particles to form a complete sentence and what the vowel of the last letter of each word should be. This science started from the time of Omar bin Al-Khattab (RA) when one of the bedouins read part of the Ayah 3 of Surah At-Tauba with a Kasrah at the very end as rasulihi instead of Dammah as in rasuluhu. This changed the meaning from "that Allah and His prophet are free from obligations to the polytheists" to "that Allah is free from obligations to the polytheists and His prophet". The bedouin said if Allah dissolves His obligations to His prophet, so do I. After this incidence, Omar (RA) ordered that rules of Nahw be created. Why this book? First Meer Ali ibn Mohammed Al-Jurjani, the Author of Nahw Meer, does not need any introduction. His masterful book has been in use for centuries mostly in it's original language of Persian and it's Arabic and Urdu translations and it is taught in many schools in Indian subcontinent and other parts of the world. I felt, that there is a need for a literal translation in today's English for those of us who are more comfortable with it.

No longer should any Quran reader be deprived of the beautiful meaning of The Holy Quran as they read it just because they don't speak Arabic. Nothing is more satisfying than understanding the meaning of the Quran as you read it without going to its translation. For the first time and for those who can read Quran in Arabic at an introductory level, a successful method for learning the meaning of The Quran without a need to learn the complex Arabic language is presented in a series of books. The approach is based on the "major words" used in Quran. The students or self-learners, through exercises and easy-to-understand introductory grammars, learn the "major words" used in Quran. For instance, upon completion of Book 1, the students can understand 40% of the meaning of Quran by learning only 110 words which are used 30,000 times in Quran. The author taught the first three books in this series a few times as a test. The results were just amazing and spectacular all the way!! All his students were quite uplifted by how much they could understand when they read Quran upon completion of only the first book.
