Suffixaufnahme is an unusual pattern of multiple case marking due to agreement: a nominal that is already case-marked for its own adnominal function in addition copies the case of the nominal to which it is to be related. The essays in this collection comprehensively examine this little known phenomenon in all areas where it is (or was) attested--most typically in Anatolia, the Caucasus and Transcaucasus, Aryan India, Eastern Siberia, Ethiopia, and aboriginal Australia. The definitive comparative account of Suffixaufnahme, this volume shows how an ostensibly marginal pattern of case agreement sheds light on major theoretical issues in syntax and morphology, in historical linguistics, and in typology.

Short turnaround has become critical in the design of electronic systems. Software- programmable components such as microprocessors and digital signal processors have been used extensively in such systems since they allow rapid design revisions. However, the inherent performance limitations of software-programmable systems mean that they are inadequate for high-performance designs. Designers thus turned to gate arrays as a solution. User-programmable gate arrays (field-programmable gate arrays, FPGAs) have recently emerged and are changing the way electronic systems are designed and implemented. The growing complexity of the logic circuits that can be packed onto an FPGA chip means that it has become important to have automatic synthesis tools that implement logic functions on these architectures. Logic Synthesis for Field-Programmable Gate Arrays describes logic synthesis for both look-up table (LUT) and multiplexor-based architectures, with a balanced presentation of existing techniques together with algorithms and the system developed by the authors. Audience: A useful reference for VLSI designers, developers of computer-aided design tools, and anyone involved in or with FPGAs.

The Double-Tilt Precision Attachment Case-which is the subject of this book-was conceived in 1906 and has the longest and best track record of any full arch dental treatment option. This option is the ideal choice in cases where fixed bridgework is impossible to accomplish or has a poor prognosis. The advantages of the Double-Tilt Precision Attachment Case are many: custom esthetics, patient comfort and confidence, maintainable periodontal health, longevity of abutments, the ability to utilize both natural teeth or implant abutments, the ability to retain weak abutments without jeopardizing overall success, and the ability to compensate for changes that occur in the mouth over time. The Double-Tilt Precision Attachment Case also does not require denture powder or paste for retention and the attachment components rarely require replacement-even after decades of continuous function 24-hours-a-day!

Master's Thesis from the year 2011 in the subject Politics - Topic: History of Inernational Relations, grade: 96, , course: International Relations - European Studies, language: English, abstract: The relations between Georgia and Germany refer to the actual and progressively ongoing process. These relations have quite significant tradition in the last century. According to the official information “close and trustful relations between Germany and Georgia have the tradition of nearly 200 years”. Therefore the experience earned through the different historical points of German-Georgian relations can be used from nowadays as well as from the future perspective. Accordingly, the analyze of the important points in these relations and explaining certain circumstances of them should be worth of interest. Therefore the aim of our research is to clarify the certain points in the history of Georgian-German relations with the proper theoretical framework. Our research is dedicated to the two basic points of the history of German-Georgian relations. The first point is the relations connected to the declaration of independence by Georgia in 26 May 1918. The second one refers to the restoration of independence in 9 April 1991 based on the independence act of 26 May. These two dates had been the crucial points in the history of Georgia of the previous century. However, they had been the basic turning points in the history of German-Georgian relations as well. In the first case the basic motivation for starting the relations between Georgia and Germany was the issue of Georgian independence. In the second case the relations between Germany and Georgia has started after (but not immediately after) the declaration of independence as well. However, there is a significant difference between these two periods of Georgian-German relations. First of all, the symmetry of developing relations goes differently. In the first case the relations had started several years before the declaration of independence, which was the direct result of these relations, and finished shortly (several months) after declaring independence. In the second case the relations have started some time after the restoration of independence, the relations which still go on during the last couple of decades. Another difference, which has the basic importance for our research, is the fundamentally different attitude from the German side towards the first and second cases of declaring independence of Georgia. The research tries to clarify the reasons for such difference and explain it with the proper theoretical concept.
