Have you ever felt so frustrated with your boss, coworkers, endless meetings, and work demands that you wanted to quit? A recent study by Gallup reports that almost 60% of employees are unhappy – and half are planning to leave. While there are many books and experts telling us that work satisfaction is just getting a good education and finding the right company, the truth is that workplace savvy determines job satisfaction and career success. In Don’t Quit Yet! you’ll learn how to deal with demanding bosses, difficult coworkers, and dysfunctional teams. Find out how to: • optimize networks, navigate the culture, and build your personal brand; • develop a mindset and attitude that will keep you motivated; • adjust the “hat” you wear based on the situation. The author also highlights the three pillars of savvy: thinking differently, working differently, and being seen differently. In fact, the book is divided into three sections, with each section delving into one of the pillars. Get innovative solutions to real-life work frustrations with the easy-to-follow steps in this action guide to career success.

Heal from yesterday's pain and find hope for tomorrow with this inspirational guide -- and learn how God's faithfulness is working for your good, even when times are tough. If we are truly blessed to be a blessing, then we can take the lessons we learn in hardships and turn them around to help others navigate through their seasons of struggle. Hope and healing are the two words God has given us. Hope for tomorrow and healing from yesterday. Shaun Nepstad believes God wants to use our stories to bring hope and healing to others. When it comes to life, we've all asked, "Is there more?" We want to believe there's more to life than what we're currently experiencing. But the problem is, so much in life promises more but doesn't deliver. There's actually only One who can deliver the "more" we need, and that is Jesus. He delivers more than what we ask for or can even imagine. Consistently. Without fail. No matter what our situation looks like. Don't Quit in the Dip inspires us to keep fighting. To keep believing. And to keep helping us experience God's full blessing.

P. J. O’Rourke said, “Creative writing teachers should be purged until every last instructor who has uttered the words ‘Write what you know’ is confined to a labor camp… The blind guy with the funny little harp who composed The Iliad, how much combat do you think he saw?” Like O’Rourke, William Faulkner had his own take on the Other Commandment for writers, the one that goes, “Thou shalt not quit thy day job”. Faulkner, who won the 1949 Nobel Prize for Literature, had, twenty-five years before, worked at the post office in his hometown of Oxford, Mississippi. Mr Faulkner was known to say, “One of the saddest things is that the only thing a man can do for eight hours, is work. You can’t eat eight hours a day, nor drink for eight hours a day, nor make love for eight hours”. He must have been determined to give something else (writing, we may assume, perhaps a glass of whisky on the side) a whirl when he tendered his resignation to the postmaster. “I reckon I’ll be at the beck and call of folks with money all my life”, he said, “but thank God I won’t ever again have to be at the beck and call of every son of a bitch who’s got two cents to buy a stamp." The authors in this book have tried their hands at some of the same jobs you have held, or still keep. They’ve worked on the railroad, busted rocks with a sledgehammer, fought fires, wiped tables, soldiered and carpentered and spied, delivered pizzas, lacquered boat paddles, counted heads for the church, sold underwear, and delivered the mail. They’ve driven garbage trucks. And like William Faulkner before them they have quit those day jobs. And like Faulkner they write. They tell good tales. If you wonder what work preceded their efforts to produce a great pile of books, if you would like to know how they made the transition to, as William Gay said, “clocking in at the culture factory”, then this is the book you’ve been waiting for...

The grace of God is often referred to as unmerited favor. In fact, the very meaning of grace is favor. In this extraordinary book written at a time when people need God's favor more than ever, Jerry Savelle shows how the favor of God is not only available to the believer, but also promised. Drawing from his own experience and his deep knowledge of the Scriptures, Dr. Savelle explains how to actively walk and grow in divine favor, and by doing so enjoy the practical as well as the supernatural benefits for such a time as this, when many are living in fear and uncertainty. The Favor of God will not just inspire readers. By God's grace and favor, it will empower them.

"This book will help keep generations of world-changers in the game, instead of tapping out because the struggle is too great." --Tim Coleman, Founder & Lead Pastor at Brown's Mill Church "[A] refreshingly honest and an inspiring read." -- Idelette McVicker, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of SheLoves magazine.com "This book [will] benefit those who run non-profits, those who work for them, and those who fund them." -- F. Volker Greifenhagen, Academic Dean at Luther College How do we reconcile joy and sorrow in a world that is both beautiful and desperately broken? Can we put the "human" back into "humanitarianism?" Is there a way to let go of disillusionment, hold onto hope, and redeem our pain for good? Author and non-profit director Katie Bergman explores these questions while reflecting on her geographically sprawling pilgrimage to pursue justice without being crushed by it. Driven by her personal experiences from Cambodian villages to Canadian inner-cities, from courthouses to street corners to orphanages, this book of confessions starts a dialogue about the trials and triumphs of seeking justice. The author's personal narrative weaves in a sequence of coming-of-age stories capturing her journey of learning to grieve without despair, to dream without guilt, and to serve without defeat. She will warm and break your heart with profound stories of intervening in human trafficking in Southeast Asia, teaching children with special needs in rural Mexico, spending austere summers planting trees in the rugged wilderness of northern British Columbia, and backpacking through Eastern Europe in self-imposed solitude. When Justice Just Is provides authentic insight, gripping challenges, and a global perspective of the joys and struggles of humanitarian work as the soul to a fresh conversation of learning to be kinder to the world while also being kinder to ourselves.
