Divine meditation on the word of God is a lost art and science in the spiritual disciplines. Christians are often content to read a little and pray a little. He demonstrates that it is the Christian’s duty to meditate on God and the things of God, that it is a duty for every day, how to rightly meditate to make it profitable (with some rules to that end) and then concludes with arguments and motives to press all Christians to the regular and consistent practice of godly meditation.
