I have been shot in the chest, had a heart attack at 30, almost died during childbirth twice, unknowingly married a bigamist and almost died 5 times. Even with all of that, my most challenging life lesson was learning how to heal childhood trauma and debilitating beliefs so that I could attract a healthy, whole, loving relationship and do it as a single, divorced mother of two! As a pre-med Biology graduate, I did an experiment of going on over 100 dates and interviewing over 3,700 men, women, and couples so that I could learn the secrets of attracting a man. My life transformed when I went on a spiritual, self-healing journey while applying the advice in this book so that I could attract the right man God selected for me. Ultimately, I married my soulmate, who happened to be my high school sweetheart and life-long friend, two years later. In this book, I share this journey and the lessons learned and give advice mixed with old school rules, the science of human behavior, and the Law of Attraction to help empower singles seeking true love while navigating the dating scene.

From Elizabeth Taylor, Bette Midler, and Diana Ross to Queen Elizabeth I, Julia Child, and Princess Leia, these divas have been sister, alter ego, fairy godmother, or model for survival to gay men and the closeted boys they once were. And anyone—straight or gay, young or old, male or female—who ever needed a muse, or found one, will see their own longing mirrored here as well. These witty and poignant short essays explore reasons for diva-worship as diverse as the writers themselves. My Diva offers both depth and glamour as it pays tribute with joy, intelligence, and fierce, fierce love. Finalist, Lambda Book Award for LGBT Anthology, Lambda Literary Foundation

A Diamond For A Diva Is a tale of four high maintenance DIVAS who have everything an average woman could want in life except for true love. Shema Outspoken, unemployed hustler who has no shame in using what she got to get what she wants. Some people say her ghettoness is flat out embarrassing at times. Madison Intelligent, computer analyst who believes a man won't stick around unless you are giving up the nuckie. Freaky, and willing to try anything once. Michelle Somewhat shy, reserved computer analyst, good girl by heart and a sucker for love Sydney A successful psychologist, with brains, beauty and body. Quiet, laid back, but doesn't take junk from anyone including her well known father Pastor Pane. If you love The Great Gatsby, you'll want to read the Flappers series. Joy and tragedy collide in DIVA, the riveting conclusion to the Flappers series, set in the dazzling Roaring Twenties. Parties, bad boys, speakeasies—life in Manhattan has become a woozy blur for Clara Knowles. If Marcus Eastman truly loved her, how could he have fallen for another girl so quickly? Their romance mustn't have been as magical as Clara thought. And if she has to be unhappy, she's going to drag everyone else down to the depths of despair right along with her. Being a Barnard girl is the stuff of Lorraine Dyer's dreams. Finding out that Marcus is marrying a gold digger who may or may not be named Anastasia? A nightmare. The old Lorraine would have sat by and let the chips fall where they may, but she's grown up a lot these past few months. She can't bear to see Marcus lose a chance for true love. But will anyone listen to her? Now that the charges against her have been dropped, Gloria Carmody is spending the last dizzying days of summer on Long Island, yachting on the sound and palling around with socialites at Forrest Hamilton's swanky villa. Beneath her smile, though, Gloria's keeping a secret. One that could have deadly consequences . . .
