Excerpt from Directory of Refrigerated Warehouses in the United States This is the fourth directory of this kind released by the Department. The first was compiled and released in 19h? And revised in 1951 and 1953. Users of this publication-food packers and processors, wholesale and retail distributors, statistical and research institutions, and several Government agencies, have requested that a revised directory be prepared as some ware houses have gone out of business or have changed ownership or policies of operation, and new establishments have come into being in the years since the last published directory. Names and addresses of this directory were compiled from those participating in the October 1, 1957, biennial survey of the capacity of refrigerated warehouses in the United States. This survey was completed in the summer of 1958 at which time a preliminary report was issued. A final report on the survey findings was published in September 1958.
